Hello, and i looked at that place too, as brought to my attention on here, they only accept: Personal Checks, Money Order, or Direct Bank Wire Transfer so be careful. The better way to go is with a place that takes credit cards, just incase a problem arrises.

Thanks everyone for your time - I am watching here twice a day.
My wife works at a bank and said the same thing, "don't hand over cash", no recourse.
And people that set up a business like that are doing it likely for a reason.

Thanks cruiser - good to know the potential negatives on that model. I couldn't find much on that one but started liking it. Not so sure now. Keep getting steered back to the 54b style.

Nice to see people are still following this thread - I'm wondering if people can chime in on real mpg's of different 250 units.
In other words, I read some reviews that stated some 250's were barely getting 60mpg.
Is that a case of lower hp and a heavy scooter, torque, or just personal conditions such as rider weight and hilly terrain.

I'm guessing variables influence these low powered units greatly. So when I see 1 or 2 more hp and some more toqrque, A) can I even believe the rating at some sites, seems to be conflicts on the same models at different sites, B) is there a slight advantage in having slightly more torque or hp?

You will see an average mpg. This is on a well maintained broken in scoot. He weighs about 180 and I believe his riding style is representative of what most of us do. Both engine styles will return about the same mileage results.

Well the 2 pages i happened to come across are old anyway.
I hadn't seen the Special before last night.
FMS emailed me back that they're long gone and not coming back.
BJSPRICEBUSTER.COM has a comlete listing of them - too good to be true - and every email address for him bounces back. Couldnt find him on BBB either, but places that charge you $150 for using PP or credit card can't be that trustworthy IMO and usually dont last long or have great reps
