how do i set a tacometer on my 50cc gy6 139qbm lafin 2009 scooter to see how many rpm iam making so i dont blow my motor what is max rpms before i blow the motor or what is unsafe i dont know how to hook up a tach any one have a simple way to do this eric heier 586-292-2979 my scooter is getting 55mph with my mods performance dc cdi box titaium sparkplug 5g slides variator opened exhaust port number88 main jet performance exhaust hot coil that about covers it runs excellent but dont want to blow it up help me tach it so i can see how many rpms are safe eric help please asap

Tiny-Tach, just wrap the signal wire around spark plug wire the other wire goes to ground. I just velcroed mine to the dash.
Peak horse power is about 7500 rpm, any thing over 8000 rpm is out of the engine power band. Red line is around 9000 rpm I think. I haven't blew mine yet but sure have tried, LOL. Around 10 grand the valves will start to float.
