Okay…First off I would like to say hello and that I have enjoyed reading all your forums.

Here is my dilemma..
I have a 50cc scooter
It was garaged for two years
I worked on it and goit it started and it ran well for a couple times.
I then took the scooter to the store and came home in the rain.
I tried to start it a few days later and…
The scooter would start and then died… WAROOOMMMmmmmmaaaww……..
I knew that my gas cap was broken and figured that water got into the fuel… So later that week I took the entire scooter apart to get to the gas tank, carbs, etc…
I drained the fuel tank.
Replaced the Fuel Filter.
Cleaned out all the fuel lines.
Removed the little “silver thing” in…out….valve… thingy
Blew on it just for good measure for whatever reason
Remove the Carb..
Cleaned the Carb
Cleaned the air Filter
Put everything back and…
Still it Starts and then dies.
It will run for 2 seconds and quit.
I let it sit for a week and just tried to start it and it started and quit after 4 seconds..2 seconds longer.
I have done the above two time to make sure I did everything, Still I am at loss.
I turned the screw 1.5 times and still nothing
Another question I have is…remember the little grey thingy that says in ..out ..valve… there is nothing on the valve nipple..
Only the fuel line coming “IN” from the fuel filter…Fuel line coming “OUT” to the carb and then on the little grey thingy with four nipples…on the side there is a tube coming out …leading to the carb…. “Why is that line wrapped with a spring wire..also?
I am dying to go out to the beach for the 4th of July, but will not be able to make it without my little scooter.
Does that little grey thing need to be above the fuel filter…that Is in height?
Should I plug up the thing that says valve?
How long do I wait until I turn the screw again, 2 mins? What wait? What is the reasoning?
I noticed that there is a small brass screw on the top of the carb..what is that..?
Please help me..i am melting in this heat.
Thank you so much.
