I've got it , I really think that I have come up with a few things for a few of us that may get the blues from time to time and need some cheering up, kinda like some warm fuzzies or some pics or videos of rides where someone writes your name on a piece of cardboard and takes pictures of it on a ride with them and some friends or something. It would be really Neat to see a bunch of scooterists together having a toast to someones name that needs cheering up. Or wouldn't it be absolutely cool to see your username and happy birthday being held by a snowman or on a rock by the river or in a rowboat ?? Maybe a pic of one person fishing and a pole with your name setting by them ??
You don't even have to know the person on this site,it's just a suggestion to anyone that might wanna cheer someone up. O.K. that's my Corny Idea. Now go cheer someone up. daddue11

Who ? mine? If you're talking about Liberty,my 300 Roadrunner, She's running absolutely perfect. Still Zippy and starts the first time and she has all the power that she had at first,BUT, the handeling, now THAT'S a different story. She has developed a bad shake at around 51-55 mph and I haven't had the time nor money to take her to the good shop to get it figured out,I had her to a couple locals here but they just made it worse. BUT, A few of us here have the same scoot and I think we've come up with a possible answer, A very unbalanced rear wheel. I still haven't had the time off to have mine checked ,but as soon as I can I'm gonna have the balance of all the wheels checked. It always seems that when I have plenty of money I never have any days off and visa verse. Go figure.

I'm sorry friends, I just read my post and I need to state that it was New2scootin that made the discovery about the unbalanced wheel. that post was in the Trikes section, the stuff he's done with his trike so far is unremarkable and he's a class act. I think between him, justincrediblem and myself, we just may get any and all bugs outta these Roadrunners, that is if I start doing my part.lol

Thanks for the kind words daddue11. I just read your comments about the vibration you're getting and I may just have the answer! Made some more tweaks tonight and took her out and can honestly say that about 90 percent of vibration is gone! Had her up to 72 mph and about the worst the vibration got was a buzzing in the handlebars. As I mentioned to justincrediblem I added Ride On tire sealant to the front tires. I added all 8 oz of the motorcycle formula to each front tire.(NOTE: FOUND OUT THIS WAS TOO MUCH-PROPER DOSE IS 5 OZ FOR REGULAR AND 7 OZ FOR SEVERE). Before I added the stuff I would start getting a pretty bad vibration at about 56 mph. I would also get the front end dancing if I hit any kind of bump in the road at higher speeds. So to get this Ride On stuff to balance the wheels you need to ride at 55+ mph for approx 5 miles and it's supposed to "hydrodynamically balance" the wheels. So I took her out last night and the vibration above 55 mph was definitely improved but I had a new vibration at 48 to 50 mph! And the road I was on could sure use some work and ruts and bumps were still makin' the front end dance. I was pretty frustrated and it was getting late so I parked her in the garage, posted some stuff on Triker's Alley and went to bed. I kept thinking about how the front end dances and that it seemed like an oscillation that needed dampening. I sat in the garage and stared at that marvel of engineering of a tilting front suspension and looked for any loose bolts, linkages, shocks... yeah, the shocks! Look at that--they have adjustable preload--and they're set at minimum! Got the big Channellocks out, put the front end up on blocks to unload the suspension, and adjusted those suckers to the next to highest setting. What a difference! I rode on smoother roads tonight at higher speeds in hopes of getting that Ride On to really spread around in the tire and give me the best balance. But I still hit some bumps and now the suspension gobbles them up without being too harsh or starting to dance. I think I'm going to bump the preload up to it's maximum setting... hoping maybe that will get rid of slight remaining vibration. Oh yeah, I know you guys said you were getting pretty severe vibration if you backed off the throttle quickly... I ain't gettin' none of that! Really enjoyed the ride tonight-even took her to an empty mall parking lot to practice tight turns and counter-steering-good stuff. Hope this works for you too cause when she's runnin' right AND feelin' right... well you guys know, it's like therapy.

I was just wondering, I remember when you got it and thought it was so cool looking. Oh yessir, I'm still in love with her and I still love the way she looks. I love the wide, low stance like a cruizer and honest to God comfort of that big wide cushy seat mm mm mm. I still have to sit and talk to people asking questions every time I stop at a store or gas pump. She's still a stunner.
