Hey y’all,
I’m a student who needs my scooter for transportation to campus. I bought a used Wolf Island (2013 w/ 5,000 miles) and it’s in okay condiiton and rides okay. I spent $450 on it and another $300 on repairs including fixing the brake light and an overall tune-up. Due to the high mileage of it, I’m not spending any more money to fix it at a shop but am ready to DIY it. I don’t need any long-term solutions as I’m going to sell it as is at semester and buy a newer scooter to save myself some headaches. I do have 2 problems I really need to fix. 1) Every morning when I start my scooter, I have to try to start it 3 times. It fails to turn over a few times but I hear the engine running when I press the start button and pull the brake. After about 3 times of it failing, it eventually works and I don’t have to kick start it ever. Regardless this is inconvenient and I’m pretty sure wakes up everyone in my apartment complex. I’ve read previous posts and noticed that in order to establish if it’s a battery issue a lot of times people will ask what other things are working. The blinkers work fine and the gas gauge works but has a bit of a shake to it once it’s below full. The horn does not work which brings up my next question. 2) the horn doesn’t work and I have a lot of instances in which I need to honk at dipcraps on the road. I can press the button but no sound comes out. There’s no horn indicator so it’s hard to tell if it’s activating anything (idk the terminology)
If someone could give me step by step instructions about how to fix these I would be forever grateful (and so would my broke student wallet)
Thanks!!
