::)Just some info.....what size chain is used on the Ice Bear Trike that you have Ally Op. I bought a bike that has a chain but you can hear it every once in a while sounds like it jumps a cog on the gear. I can tighten the chain but then its too tight. I have a feeling it has the wrong chain.

Got everything checked out chain is perfect, put new dr. rollers in varator, got rid of reverse....everything is good no slipping or jumping. Now my problem is I'm turning 8900 rpm at 50 mph. I need to hold the rpm down to about 7200. Any suggestions would help. Also 3200 when clutch starts to move bike. I believe I need lighter clutch springs

I also had the problem. You might try getting the plastic PVC cement and using it together with fiberglass cloth. Let it dry well it does a good job you can layer. stays flexible with the plastic fender.

Glad wives don't read forum. I think I know about what you meant about nurse........ DOM ...It doesn't sound like the problem with the bearing. I ordered a couple anyway the #6004. it does seem to shudder a small amount when first accellerating. This is the first trike ive had. I have a honda elite 150 for my work scoot. Runs pretty good. No problems with it. Guy that originally worked hard to find problem but never did. He had the chain really tight I guess his thinking was jumping sprocket. I'll check out tuesday and post result. Thanks you guys the help is really appreciated saves hours of troubleshooting.

Sometimes I think the kids feel that we should be in a wheel chair sitting in the sun with a pretty nurse dabbing spit off our chins with a hanky. I think I'm busier now than I was working. I will adjust the chain check the nuts on the rims and look at both varator and clutch also will check out belt closely. In another post you talked about the missing radial bearing? I don't think this problem and that one are the same but its possible just a different symptom. It only slips for an instant and jerks. It really feels as if yolu are speed shifting a car.

Thanks for the info. It has 350 miles on it. I also checked the chain it was like a bowstring. I think the play should be about at least 1/2 inch. It also has reverse on handlebar. Will probably disable that. bike is easy to roll. The chain was so tight that the rear axle made a creaking sound when rolled by hand. I have to work this weekend at a gatehouse at a corp of engineer day use park on the lake but will be checking everything out tuesday. I'm 67 and to old for engine games but hey you have to do something. Thanks again

Mine is exactly like the one in your photo on the left. I think it is called mc101 You are right it shudders when I take off. Do you happen to know the size of the belt. One other question the guy said it had a makuni varator. I don't know if makuni makes a varator??? I'm at 223 # what would be a stock roller weight for me. Not exact but best guess. I do a lot of riding on long roads want to keep it in the rpm power curve.

I have a 2009 Huzhou 150cc Trike. I understand that this is the same bike as Ice Bear and some others. When coming up to speed say 25-35 mph it feels like it is some how shifting...the engine races a little and it jerks as if shifting into another gear. If you come up to speed slowly it does not do it. But when pushing to say 50 mph it does it. Almost as if clutch is slipping then grabbing? I'm new to this forum but have turned a wrench for 45 years on various bikes and autos. Any help or ideas anyone could give would be greatly appreciated. Bought this bike used and was told it was doing this but price was tooooo good.
