Yep! You read it right. I'm ready to kick the hell out of the next car that cuts in front of me from the right!I had this happen to me TWICE yesterday- once about 4:30pm in Florissant: some dimwit was more concerned about her blasted cellphone conversation than driving and I'm clearly in the center of the right lane- and suddenly, out of the corner of my eye I see this maroon fender coming over! Granted, the DiBlasi has a very feeble horn...and this refugee from a retroactive abortion didn't even notice me. Just cut right in front! Then, at about 11pm in O'Fallon, MO- the same damn thing. Geez- can't you see me? One of the QuikTrip ( great gas station/c-store)drivers said he could see my SOLAS ( Saving Of Lives At Sea) reflective tape a mile away! But NOOOO...this reject from the gene pool comes from the right side shoulder and literally pushes me into the left lane! Look- I'm on the smallest scoot on the road..(I'm on a test run here) - and I wear all sorts of stuff- a lime Hi-Viz vest, SOLAS tape on my helmet and backpack, and all lights on the bike are daily checked for function! The truck driver said they saw me from a mile away! ("Hey- is that a guy on a moped?") First thing is to find a louder horn. But I swear- the next time, someone's getting a boot in their door, then up their backside! Or...maybe this? Thank you...I feel much better. Now any suggestions? Mcalli- I feel your anger!

Yep- that's it! It seems all the references I find indicate that is used on 125s/150s.

The unit has 2 wires that use a male/female connection. The unit has a white material in it, one of the wire coils is showing on the front one. I'm considering modifying one of these: to fit. The unit pictured seems to be for a 150cc bike, but this is a 49cc.

Now...what the hell is this? (Sorry for the crappy picture) Some maintain it's a rectifier...I've never seen anything like this! BTW- don't bother asking me to start the bike...it's not ready for that yet!

Can't help with the stereo, but if you really want that windshield, try Cee Bailey: www.ceebaileys.com/cycle/motorcycle_windshields.htmlThey make replacements that are of a thicker, better plastic, as weel as your choice of tints and heights. Most are drop-in replacements- and well forth the extra cost! I broke the windshield for my Cozumel 150, it seems to ride better without it. But when I do replace it, it will be a Cee Bailey.

THE BLUE BOMBFinally- the generic 49cc I'm going to rebuild and reanimate! Yes- I AM MAD! Sorry for the lousy quality of the pics! Lots of busted body bits! - Rear view - Left side- I removed this panel (Right side is just as ugly) - Under the seat: a traffic warning for NO TAIL LIGHTS & owner's booklet - The gauge cluster- badly hazed, but 2517 miles. - I wonder what waits under the front? - Never ask that question. You won't like what you find! - Gee...look what doesn't work? - So the battery is shot- what else is new? The carburator is a Japanese WALBRO, the gas tank is full of crud- I just used a pair of channel-locks to open the cap. So it's either remove it & clean it, or get a replacement. The replacement sure does appear to me. I'm already planning on replacing the front master cylinder (Rt. Brake) as it is totally useless, and the lever is trashed. And the Left Brake (rear) lever is bent- so I'll just replace it as well. Looks like I have a nice little project for a few weeks! Considering the bike was free, it should be worth the cost and I can learn as I go on fixing these things!

I'm in and I'll be posting it under the BLUE BOMB, with pics! Got the gas-cap off with channel-locks and the fuel tank is almost as bad as the bike! Now you get to see what us unemployed guys do to keep us from going any crazier!

That looks awesome!
Gives me some ideas for when I "steam-punk" the Midwest Cosmo I have. Of course, that gas tank is awful puny...but what the hell!
It's cool! Keep us posted!

Funny how it is IDENTICAL to your GES 50...of course the plastic lens over the gauge cluster, headlight, turn-signals...and tail-lights on yous is nice and clear- mine is all yellowed & opaque. Looks like one of those plastic headlight restoration kits is on the shopping list as well! I have emailed Midwest Scooters to se if they might be of help.

Last year, I picked this bike up for $25! it's a 2003 Midwest Cosmo. Now the following issues exist: (Other than a beat-up body!) - NO KEYS! The gas cap needs the key... ...as does the under-seat storage and ignition. At least the steering lock isn't on. Any assistance is welcome! Mac

I've got a 2008 SunL (Jonway) Cozumel 150, and one reason I haven't been in a hurry to put my CVT back together is that the brake lights don't work! BULBS: All good TURN SIGNALS: Yep! Got 'em!
I have a nasty feeling of "bad juju" regarding the switches under the handlebar fairing. It's tough enough to try and lift it up and look- without breaking it!
Any suggestions/advice is welcome!
