[b Did the girl come with it? Rich
The apparent answer. "Yeah, I guess I'll have to tear into her this weekend."
I wouldn't be putting THAT off until the weekend.

Yeah, I guess I'll have to tear into her this weekend. I can't think of anything else it could be.

I'm stumped. Just got her and have put 35 miles on her with no problems. A few days ago I got to the end of the driveway and she just died and wouldn't start. I checked the spark by holding the plug to the engine block and the spark is fine. I know gas is getting to the carb. I was able to unhook the fuel line feeding the carb and crank her over. Fuel came shooting out. I really can't do anything else with the carb without taking off the gas tank...I'm hoping to avoid that. I did spray some starting fluid into the intake and she fires right up but dies right away after it eats up the starting fluid fumes. Grrrr! I didn't buy it from the following site, but here's a link to the model I'm talking about. gokartsusa.com/Jinlun-Lifan-250-V-Twin-Motorcycle.aspxAny advice would be greatly appreciated.

About a block away from my house I lost everything electrical on my 150 cc Chinese scooter (lights, dashboard "turned off"), but the scooter kept running. At home, I shut it off and it wouldn't start...everything was dead. The battery was low, so I took it out and charged it. Installing the battery, I connected the positive and when I touched the neg. wire to the neg. battery terminal, the starter engaged...the key was off! The battery works fine in my 50 cc, so I guess there must be a short or a bad part in the 150. Any ideas?
