Tried all suggestions on friends sight. Not a nothing just a white screen. Mabey our computer won't pull it up. What operating system on your computer and what browser? I've tested this on W7 with IE9, FF and Opera and W8.1 with IE11 and also FF and Opera. If you are using a older system Ex. XP you may not be able to use it. Let me know what you have and maybe I can do something?

Do you want me to look at your computer remotely JV? I can do it from here. If you're not comfortable with that I understand completely. I'd need to know what your operating system is first and I can tell you how to set it from your end. I'll walk you through it, it's not that difficult. I think you just have a setting wrong for viewing flash. What do you think Jack? Hey, he just might need to install Java or Adobe.....I bet that's it! Rich

JavaScript must be on for this to work, hit the nail on the head Rich. Ok if he got the system in December it will have W8 or W8.1 with either IE10 or IE11 so here is how to turn your installed javascript on.
At the top of the page left side
Click on Tools > Click on Internet Options > Click on Security > Click on Custom Level > (in the tree view)Scroll down to Scripting > Under Active Scripting click on Enable > Click on OK
Restart Computer

This is for Bashan who I hope will pass it along, especially to alley oop who I hope sees this. I started with a no spark condition and with Bashan's help, diagrams and meter reading and such, it led to the stator. Of course that wasn't the end of it, you can't leave out the cdi, turns out it was bad also, sometimes, Huh? Then I had no fuel and questionable vacuum. That's when Alley Oop chimed in with his knowledge of carbs and valve gapping and such. Pics were flying back and forth, thanks to Bashan and guess what. You have to be patient. Seems I lost all fuel to the carb, it loses it's prime so to speak and it takes lots of turn over to get the vacuum and prime back. Course I didn't find that out till after I rebuilt the carb. So believe it when I tell you that this forum and the friendly people on it are a God send for rookies like me. Stay with it, they go above and beyond. Thanks guys.

You're welcome Stan. You're a good guy and certainly not a rookie anymore, you earned your white jacket. Rich

This post is encouraging. I have been watching the scooter forums since 2008 when I bought a GY6. I found answers to almost all my problems without becoming a member. I was reluctant to join, as the national sport for at least 2 of these forums is getting drunk and bashing newbies. If there is a deliberate attempt to change the culture of this forum, and the other does the same. There may be hope. People that keep score by the number of members may be missing the point. Forums are about sharing information and experiences. Not a place to amuse yourself by bashing other posts.
The interesting part, it is the same persons that are members of both sites that do the sneak attacks. Want to clean up your reputation? Don't allow bulling on your forum. There it is. If you couldn't see it, what can I say?

I won't go over old territory again, most know it, and I've beat it to death. But a lot of the dissent and hard feelings in the scooter world were a result of my actions back in 2012. I've talked to the people involved, made my apologies, and am trying to move on. To everybody's credit, especially Jack Ryan, they've put it behind them and we are all trying to move forward.
So we're hoping to forge a new scooter world based on co-operation and mutual respect. Yes Casual, we want to forget the number game and the testosterone driven competitions. Who cares? Yeah, I watch the numbers, if you admin a site it's part of the gig. If the numbers don't grow you're doing something wrong. But I've quit stacking Doc up against the other guys, that's not important anymore. Jack went through a lot in the past couple of years and so did I, we came out different people and maybe got things in perspective.
Having said all of that, as far as bullying and offensive behavior, this is a discussion forum. When people discuss things they often get heated. So I am not going to try and create some artificially pristine environment where everything is nice and nobody gets offended, that's boring. People get angry sometimes when discussing things and the conversations can get heated. That is conversation in real life and it should be the same on a forum, in my opinion. However, we will not tolerate name calling and abusive behavior. We get a little raw and raunchy around here but personally demeaning somebody is not tolerated. So yeah, there was name calling and nasty stuff in the past, but we are trying to do the right thing, we are trying to put it behind us, we are all friends now, and it feels really good. Rich

This can not be an easy job. It is not like it pays a bunch. It is a good forum, and has great members. I have saved hundreds using advise I found on this page. I will not comment on the forum again. My original joining was prompted by a post on 1000 watchers today. I just thought you should know why some do not join. As for me. I will hold my own until you kick me off ;-)
