hi everyone . so i recently picked up a 2006 tank 250 touring in ROUGH shape. now, im certainly no mechanic, but i am reading all the lit i can find on it. i believe it is a honda clone as the cylinder faces toward the rear. i purchased a new carb for it off ebay, and i cant figure out a certain connection. the old carb had these two nipples broken off, (above the bowl and under the autoenrichment valve) and i dont know where they should connect to : and the new carb : also, in this pic, the "diaphragm" . the old hose on the right is just capped with a bolt. where is that hose supposed to go ? thanks in advance. any more info you need i will be happy to provide. sivel27

The two broke off connectors on the left side USED TO BE to send hot liquid from the raditor and then back again to the radiator. They used that thinking in cold weather it would warm up the ENRICHER passage(BUT NOT USED ANYMORE) the carbs still come with them tough. Here is what your carb connections should be: Alleyoop

thank you for the quick reply !
so can i just "bridge" the two connection with a hose ? secondly, the ACV valve is the one that he had "capped" off with a bolt. is that normal ?
thanks again,

No the TWO connectors on the side just do not connect anything to them leave them as is. Actually you can take the little system off just unscrew the screw that is holding it onto the carb. The ACV valve you need a VACUUM hose connected to it. Whoever had it before you was an IDIOT. What that does is when you are say cranking out and let go of the throttle to slow down for whatever reason it feeds it fuel so it does not backfire and or run lean when the BUTTERFLY is suddenly closed.
