All,
I just bought a used 2009 TNG Milano 150 and if I ride it around until everything is nice and warm I’ve noticed that when stopped it tries to creep forward. If I put it on the center stand the rear tire is spinning pretty quickly. I’ve tried to turn the idle down (no tach) but I have it so low that another quarter turn the bike dies. My thought is that the clutch is staying engaged – faulty clutch springs maybe. Based on the other threads on here I think I'm on the right track.
Also, the engine is stamped a BN157QMJ. This means that I need the BN type clutch and not the normal GY6 clutch, correct? To complicate things the tire is a 3.5-10 so it’s not a 16” tire. I read through Mo's tech stuff on ScrappyDog but I'm not sure what to do since I have the smaller tire.
Any advice?
Thanks so much, MrMegadeth

Yep the clutch is staying engaged, so take it off it may be that the springs are broke or the slots that hold the springs have gouged into the metal and the springs are now sitting loose and allowing the pads to be thrown out with very little centrifugal force. Alleyoop

Alleyoop,
Thanks! That confirms my suspicions. Any idea what clutch it takes? I'm still confused on if it takes the BN157QMJ clutch or just a normal 157QMJ...this smaller rear tire is throwing me off.

Measure the bell across and if it is 5 1/4 inch's across get the one for the 157QMJ motor.
Ok I just counted the splines on my clutch it has 19 spline so I think scrappy is full of snit maybe to charge more for the BN157QMJ clutch, my motor is a 157QMJ with a 10" wheel. Alleyoop
