My wiring connectors all come together near the gas tank, and are zip tied to the frame.
My worry is my side plastic has a vent that will direct rain directly into the connectors.
Has anyone made a waterproof enclosure, or done any modifications to prevent water from being deliberately funneled onto electrics on a China scoot?

Yep, On stuff like that, I fill the backside of the connectors with silicone (high temp variety) and after I put them back together, I wrap it with a bit of self-sticky saran wrap. Then a zip tie or 26 and its good to go.

in connection, here's another tip, and this is what i do. i buy this stuff its called something like corrossion protector, i put a small amount of this in all wire connectors in my scoooter, even the spark plug thread. resistor, turn signals. battery terminals etc.. it will render good electrical flow. and no more corossion. this is very useful especially in some places which are very humid like Hawaii, where humidity can reach up to 200%. my goodness. here's the product:

Back in the '60s-'70 when I was into off road racing we used hair spray on connections and components. White Rain Extra Strength was preferred but the cheap stuff will work as well, just needs to be refurbished more often. It's available at most dollar stores.
