by jobe ive found at least one of the problems ! .....wait for it ..... bent exhaust valve stem. the "head" of the valve had a rather large opening around half of the seat. also was being banged / and / or banging the piston. this sucks. and the worst part of it im fixing MY WIFES scooter seeing as though i biffed the quick stop during the eval. ironic ... i begged her to go to the msf class kicking and screaming, and i fail and she crushes it. im going to walk in this friday and see if they will let me take the driving eval over again, rather than going through the whole weekend. mike

Well that explains the lack of compression and the engine spinning like that when the starter engages. I hate to tell you this but if the cam was in wrong it would have crashed the piston into the valve causing the damage.

I need some of u knowledgeable ppl here in Vegas, my hubby was told of a man who made this ladies bike awesome, but when asked he said NO WAY 250cc ain't worth fixing... I just want a look over to make she all is good... Uuuhhhgggg... Kuddos for u doing this on yr own

Well we're right here actually, that's what the web is for. 250's are worth fixing, they're fairly fast, great mileage, and temp resistant. If somebody says they're not worth fixing, they don't know how to fix them. Rich
