That is always exciting waiting on the new machine, especially if it's a SYM..... but I'm no snob. No really, I'm excited for you and can't wait to post your pix for you. Rich

It's the second shop up in Santa Barbara ,,, and this would have been my second buy from the close one too,,, they wouldn't budge on the price,, got a rare zxr1200rr factory bike from them a number of years ago,, that was one bike I was truly afraid of ,,, after muzzy got done with it ,,, crazy stupid fast,,, way too much for the street ,, wheelies whenever where ever,, anything under 80-85,,,anyways looking forward to the px150 based machine with side covers so I don't have to work in the hole and the manual trans ,, I think general overall performance and mpg will be better,,,,and the added attraction of trans gears that can be quickly changed to suit the engine once I get that sorted out with the pipe and carb

Kave as far as the ride goes I'm sure it has pogo sticks front and back that will have to be changed I was going to go bitubo but Fugaziiv recommended Prima suspension parts so I'll give them a try,, and I have 3 tubeless rims comin in soon ,,, I'll do the switch as soon as it rolls into my garage,,, not going to go wild on this one just pep it up a bit and do a shock change and put a steel braided brake line on( I hear the front brake has no "feel" and it's a brick)I know it sounds like a lot but it's not ,, I'm really used to having cranks stretched and knife edged pankle or cerillo rods trans gears undercut the whole shebang,, this one will be the long term commuter bomber

Will you stretch my crank?

sure bring it over,,,first we heat it up to glowing red then 70 ton stretch then re heat treat,,,but in your case a few taps with the ball pean hammer on the anvil should get your mind right,,,but lately the engines i've been dealing with are roller so the crank needs to be pressed together ,,,the rods have no end cap,,they are full circle big ends ,,,it's a pain in the a$$ but sure does make for a stout lower end when done right,,,also they have been dry sump,,

Congrads on the new scooter you are getting soon. You made a wise choice the stellas are desirable scooters by many people. I can't wait to hear what you have to say about it sould take some time to break in before you can ride it to it's full potential. Please don't let luke get to you I was reading some of your guys posts yesterday and came acrose a post of spending a lot of money on your vespa. I don't think I need to tell you but feel lead to spend your money how you please welcome to a free country. If it makes you happy to spend some money on a carb for your vespa who is he to say anything in a negative way. You have good input cyborg and I like to read your posts please don't let luke get you upset it's not worth it it's what he want's don't give him the satisfaction of that. Enjoy your summer and can't wait to hear what you have to say about your new scooter coming soon.

Oh i always listen to my own drummer Jvino,,,he comes from a position of no experience and no mechanically ability,,and it shows,,he thinks he has the best scoot let him,,,i said even in the earliest posts i made here "you like /love what you got great!"",, i've made it a point to modify every vehicle i ever owned,,,and was doing so before this forum was a forum,,,and the 140k he keeps beating on over and over are his numbers not mine,,,he actually is low,,,it's my hobby,,i just have a little bit of dough to do my thing (lucky me),,,,he's not going to chase me off,,i just went back to ignoring him after the comment of the customer in france saying the bike i sold didn't work,,,silly,,,i have wristwatches that cost more than a vespa and when i do a build it's kind of a "money is no object" thing,,,as far as the french customer goes,(whoever he is),,even major manufacturers have call backs thats why they give a warranty with the purchase,,,and they have a hell of a lot more resources than i do,,,,but not after about 3-4 months,,,then i really kick it into high gear and do design/building full time,,,,after all my email is cyborgdesign@gmail.com,,,
