How old do you think that engine is? You know what I think is cool is that glass debris cup, at least that's what my Dad called them, we had them on every small engine around the farm. All of the engines were ancient, I mean from the 30's and 40's and the old man kept them going. You would have loved it, it was like a small engine vintage museum and I didn't even know it. We sold everything at an absolute auction and people were clamoring for those engines and his ancient tools. They got kind of rabid.
Hey you members, you have to go to Lanterns Youtube channel! It is filled with cool stuff. Hey Lantern, thanks for the mention on your Razz video. OK everybody here's a link to his video page. Go there...NOW!
Yeah, I work on mine but it's all current stuff, no vintage. I do the easy stuff just servicing them and I disassembled my 2T weedeater and fixed that (I'm not sure how) and my leafblower. I had a pressure washer and I took the engine apart and put new rings in it and then sold it to buy my John Deere pressure washer with a Honda GX200 engine. Guess how much work I've had to do on it....that's right..zero. Same with my lawn mower, Troy built with a Honda engine. It can sit for weeks and it starts with one pull...every time. So I work on them when something comes up mainly because I started on scooters and then figured I could do the engines around the shop too, so I kind of went bass ackwards on that. Rich
