As you can see below I've updated my miles on the Chinese fleet. Out of curiosity I added them up and guess what? 20,230 total miles on the three. Now, yes, I don't have anybody in the 10,000 mile club....yet but it puts the knock on all things Chinese in focus. I've heard all the jibes. "Just wait, after 18 months it will be scrap." "You'll get a mile for every dollar you spend." This one is my favorite. "Oh sure it's cheap, but where will you get parts?"
If my China fleet is only supposed to last a mile per dollar, I owe somebody $17,000.00.
My oldest China bike is six years old, the youngest is five. I'm about four and a half years past the expiration date.
So far I've bought parts from three different places, had to wait all of three days, max, for delivery with the quickest arriving in forty-six hours from Florida.
You want to know my conclusion in all of this? Jack said something that should have hit a few people right between the eyes. "I can't believe that I got the cream of the crop" or words to that effect. Here's what it means. If you ride a Chinese scooter like a maniac, it will blow up. If you change your oil every 5,000 miles, it will blow up. These things need care and attention, then again most two wheeled creatures do. I didn't get to 20,000 miles on a trailer and I didn't ride like the scooters were race bikes either. I rode them like they were $1200 scooters, not $5000 Vespas.

KZ and everyone else in this forum,
i am very sure that you will all agree with me if i say that Chinese scooter speedometer, tachometer and especiallly odometers are dead INACCURATE. that is a fact, your 20,000 miles can very well be 1,500 miles only in all actuality. especially all you go to is ride around town, and to and from the dollar store. funny how someone brag about something that everyone knows that its not true, he is laughed at in their minds secretly. i dare ang challenge you ALL chinese scooter owners, just out of curiosity, ride your scooter and have someone drive a car side by side, tell him to stop at exactly one mile, youll be surprised when the car stops , you and your scooter are still moving forward to hit the bogus one mile mark. thats how inaccurate chinese odos are.
im proud to say i already have 28000 true blue miles on my morphous.... no cheating like others i know.....
oops!

As a side note that actually has something to do with the thread,,,i'm happy you get great service out of your machines,,,and goes to show what you've been saying all along in these threads is that care and regular service make for serious reliability,,,and the miles you rack up are proof of this,,,,and on top of it all a super short season also

Good to hear kz you are right you take care of something change the oil and air filter plugs and brakes every once in a while. The scooters will last it's great to hear you made 20,000 mile club with all three of your scooters. Which scooter do you ride the most? Keep the positive attitude and get plenty more enjoyable miles hopefully to come.
My vino had to go to the shop I got a nail in my rear tire and inspection is up next month. So I am out of my scoot for about a week the are ordering a briggson rear tire for it which costs a little over 50 dollars.

jvino, hello, your vino and my morph are both yamahas(japan breed) both are super solid scooters, even if you miss scheduled maintenance it'll still be running perfectly. because each and every part of our scooters are made out of high quality materials, doesn t weather out when you leave it out in the sun even for a month. and the crankshaft case wont brake into two even if you pound it with a hammer, unlike some scooters i know.

These days John, I use the CF Moto the most. At least in terms of mileage. It can go on the interstate. Last week I had to visit my wife in the hospital for four days while she recovered from surgery. I ran up over 300 miles on those trips and the Fashion handled it just fine. I use the Bashan many days to commute to work, a 35 mile round trip. I use the 50cc with the milk crate to do shopping. In terms of numbers of trips I actually use the 50cc more, I just ride the other scoots further.
I hope you get the Vino back soon. The weather is gorgeous and made for riding.

Thanks John. My wife is actually fine, sort of. She had the surgery to finish up part of the cancer treatment. She is home. mending and looking better every day. What made the surgery so intense is that the surgeon did exploratory work to check for any recurrence of cancer. She's clean, no trace and looking forward to recovering. It's been hard for her, she's not a big girl and her body has been through the mill.

We do keep up with all the doctors. We're like a couple of used cars. We run along fine one day and then sputter the next. We're on a first name basis with too many doctors and their staff to suit me. Riding helps keep our spirits up and active.
