After the whole wiring issue I had the petcock issue, the one I order that was supposedly the same thread size was not. Was supposed to be 16mm but was 14mm so I found a 5/8 to 1/2 inch reducer that I was able to make work with a file and Teflon tape, pinched off the useless vaccum line, changed the oil had about 1/2 a quart of gas in with it. Couple kicks it fired right up and runs beautifully, drove it up the road and it seemed to ride rocky, I don't know how else to put it because it wasn't vibrating just seamed off. perhaps maybe you could say it had a slight constant bump while it rolled. Tires both have air the brakes aren't holding up is there anything else that could really mess with the rolling part, would motor mounts be a cause of anything.

To fix that and not have headaches getting to the petcock that screws onto the tank outlet do this and then you can get a regular petcock and mount it where you can easly get at it. Gas pipe joiner the same size so you can thread it onto the tank and then a reducer ALL AT THE HARDWARE STORE. Alleyoop

The petcock is not hard to get to at all I just reach up under the back plastic and there it is. IT's all there so I'm not changing it just wondered what the rough riding was all about. The scooter doesn't idle either almost does but then dies but it runs so good I'd hate to mess with it anymore. I also changed the gear oil at the rear.

Doesn't Idle almost does and dies!! It is either idling to low or you just need to adjust the Fuel Ratio Mixture on the carb. But if you don't want to adjust anything I won't waste my time telling you what and how to fix it right. Ride Safe Alleyoop

Could it be a tire? I've had a tire with a high spot cause all sorts of bad handling and bumpy rides. Put a reference point at the front of the tire and spin it and see if it has a high spot. Also, take the wheel off, put the wheel and axle on two jack stands and spin the tire. See if it keeps stopping at the same point. It could be out of balance. Rich

yeah I told them it might be the tires because the back tire was flat for the 4 years it sat and we filled it back up but it could be warped and I adjusted the throttle cable a little and it does idle know but the fuel air screw is on the driver side of the scooter on the carb right a little flat head.

Yes, I use a Briggs & Stratton valve, 10 bucks at Lowes. The blue arrow points to it.
