The lights and everything work but it acts like the battery is dead

Is the Killswitch on the Run Position?
Do the brake lights come on when you squeeze the BRAKES?
If the brake lights come on and you push the START BUTTON does it make a clicking sound?

Are you pulling the rear brake lever when you hit the starter button? You can try jumping the solenoid to see if power is getting to the starter. Oh, does it kick start?

Try the other brake lever BOTH brakes send voltage to the SOLENOID maybe one brake switch is bad and the other brake switch is good.
