chain jumps off crank gear-- put back on may run 5 min or 30 min never know how long it will stay on then comes off crank gear and of course it dies

Now some of the cranks have TWO sprockets right next to each other YOU MAY BE PUTTING the CHAIN on the OUTSIDE Sprocket which by the way are smaller in DIAMETER and that will make the chain come off not only because the chain is pretty loose even with the tension-er all the way out but because now the chain is at a SLIGHT ANGLE in respect to the CAM SPROCKET. So check to make sure the CHAIN is ON THE INSIDE SPROCKET on the crank. Alleyoop

tried it on both gears with same results--looks like inside gear puts chain at slight angle-tensioner still at max even on inside gear-got engine on bench now going to replace chain and chain guides to eliminate all possibility's (tensioner is new)
