How did we get to this discussion from the original posting?
I'm not complaining about some good recipies, just puzzled.
As usual.
Gift from wife
It is what she said when picking her up at work I forgot to do something for her. Her co-worker found this.

Oh forgot picked some fresh tomatoes also, can taste the corn casserole now! Got my zucchini cut and ready for the pie also.
Add fresh cut one inch thick pork chops, some fresh brown crowder peas in the crock pot right now and it's going to be a feast! Oh one other thing soft serve vanilla ice cream to go on the hot pie! Gotta go and get a cooking!

How did we get to this discussion from the original posting?
I titled this thread "just sharing" as I did not know what else I might want to share in the future. If no one objects, as we approach winter, I'll share a fantastic Chili receipe that was from an AC Delco magazine over 40 years ago. Also, I may share a few closely guarded seasonal family favourite receipes, and anything else that I come across that others might find useful. The wife asked if anyone had tried her pancakes?

Also, I may share a few closely guarded seasonal family favorite recipes, and anything else that I come across that others might find useful. The wife asked if anyone had tried her pancakes? Tried? The recipe I know dates back to before the Great Depression it's no big secrete. My great grandmother used to let me help her make those pancakes as a kid a long, long time ago know it by heart, may not have been called what you call it but back then like I do now things were made from scratch not just the add water crap you eat now. Used a great big iron skillet and cooked them on a wood cook stove, yes I go that far back. We made them as big as the plate!
Boysenberry syrup? No I save my berries for pies and I use home made black berry syrup with berries I grow myself and honey on my pancakes from my own bee hives, in fact the temps are supposed to drop to the low 50's by this weekend here and I've got my bee suit ready to go harvest some honey to last us to next season. I raise lots of berries, strawberries, black berries, boysen berries, raspberries, (4 colors) blueberries and mulberries. Going to harvest more apples tomorrow. Don't need Smuckers.

Maybe my sarcastic side didn't come thru well. I'm actually loving the recipies. Unfortunately my current financial state doesn't allow much extravagance. I also see my link to a gift from my late wife didn't work. It what she would say if I disappointed her and maybe it would help ya'lls to understand better.
She did have an unusual sense of humor and her daughter split a gut laughing.

For anyone that does not have a digital caliper, circuit probe or even an inexpensive DMM, Harbor Freight had a coupon in the Sunday Paper on 14th Sep for a free DMM with any purchase.
The latest coupon sheets from them offers a 6" digital caliper #47257 for $9.99, a savings of $20 on this alone.

Want to improve the taste of anything? Leave out the chocolate. Some people are actually allergic to it and even some others don't like the taste at all. I happen to fall into both groups. Now butterscotch on the other hand...

We are not sticklers about wandering around off topic a little bit here on the Doc. It's a discussion forum and that's the way conversations play out. We do discourage someone jumping in the middle of a tech discussion to ask a question about their own bike. They need to start a new thread. But on threads like this where we are trading recipes, nothing to worry about. Now where is this chile recipe!??
