Just finished putting my bike back together after redoing the air system, re-jetting the carb (from 110 to 125), fixing a few odds and ends, changing the rest of my bulbs out for LED's... Roketa 250. (244cc)
Connected the battery and it cranks. It refuses to start. It's getting gas, I can smell it. No, I did not check for spark because I was by myself and it's kind of difficult to reach over the bike and still be low down enough so I can see if it has spark. I'm going to call a friend of mine to come over and help me out. Just replaced the battery in my meter also. Brand new spark plug and charging diode.
So bad wire? Or coil? Or CDI? Anything else?

Why did you go from a 110 main jet to a 125? did you bore out the motor and put in a bigger piston?

WOW!! a 125 from a 110 is quite a bit of gas I have to tell you. The rule of thumb is if you add a free flow filter you go 2 sizes from what you have in the carb already. If you then add a free flow muffler you add another 2 sizes to the carb. But you will find out if it is to much fuel or not enough once you get it up and running.

I really hope it's something simple, like I need a new coil wire or something. I'm getting tired of ordering parts.
I went to the air kit your saw from the stock air box and I have a straight pipe no muffler so it's breathing quite well.

Check if you put on the ground wire from the motor to the frame if bad motor to frame ground no spark. Also just because you smell gas does not mean it is gas that is being sucked into the intake. Crank it over and IF IT DOES NOT EVEN sputter once, take the spark plug out and if it is NOT firing the plug will be wet.

Something else,...
When I was putting the carb back on, I slipped and came down a bit hard on the plug wire. I did not feel it pop or separate at all, but I can't meter it since it's built in to the coil. Could be I damaged something. I took it apart to put the new plug in and it was a major PITA to get it back together. Is there a small metal cylinder inside there along with the spring? I found one after and I have no idea where it came from.
And NO, I'm not normally this careless when I work on something. But I've never seen a plug wire where you have to take off the screw top either, and then adding a spring on top of that? Totally weird.

See what I mean , when people do not tell all, The no Spark is probably the BOOT CAP is in pieces now. So get a new BOOT CAP they are cheap and they just screw onto the COIL WIRE. The boot cap actually has a regular screw on the end of it to screw into the wire in the coil wire. So unscrew it off and go get a new one.

Doesn't really matter on the cap You can cut that cap off and screw on a cap. Or get one like that if you like the style

YEP, some come with different rubber ends that you just slip on so to keep it nice and snug in the head.
