I'm new to the scooter game first off. Have years of working on cars and riding mowers.but scooters are tricky for me.So here we go. It looks like it was laied over pretty hard,hard enough to snap the front brake bracket.So I try to kick star it no spark.So I check the plug it's newly replaced no carbon.Ok then I go to the solenoid it's new so I replace it anyway.still nothing..Yes the battery is charged btw haha. I can smell it pulling gas. Check the wiring fixed few bad loose /broken/pinched connections kicked it again nothing.I'll show pictures shortly thank for any ideas.also the key is missing so I took it off.was left on the on switch after I got the metal lock off

Go back to the basics. Pull the plug,attach it to the plug wire and hold it to a ground. Spin or kick the engine over - spark or no spark. use your DMM to test coil primary and secondary just like you know. if ok, verify coil primary ground circuit. you might tighten the female spades on the coil and retest before proceeding. then use the schematic on this thread posted by Bashan to troubleshoot DCv style scooterdoc.proboards.com/thread/10509/stator-cdi-wiringto troubleshoot ACv style CDI use this video check for signal from pickup (crank sensor), check for ACv from stator to CDI, check CDI ground circuit, and last check the key & kill swicthes that they are not engaged

Which one is it 50cc, 150cc , 250cc.
Are yo squeezing the brake when using the electric start you need to squeeze the brake to send voltage to the SOLENOID. EITHER BRAKE try the none broken one. Check for spark take the plug out or use a spare and take the boot off and stick the plug in and hold the plug to the MOTOR and crank it or us the kick start and see if it has spark.
Since the key is trash the CDI may be grounded and that will create a no spark condition. So take a picture of the CDI and see if it has a KILLWIRE on it. it would be the top wire on on the two plug on the CDI usually Black/White. if so pull the killwire off the CDI and then see if it will start and or the plug fires. Not much luck with it today.the red wire(loose/broken near battery) when I touch the positive term. I hear which I might be wrong diode clicking near my left hand found a round black cylinder two wires connected to it..So now I've "hacked" the ignition switch to get to this point but I don't need a key I guess is the only plus. I'd like to post pictures but it won't just let me toss them on here. If anyone has KIK messenger(phone/tablet app for texting pictures video etc and free) my name is shadowkingx if anyone is willing to down load the app to help me out that would be awesome. I'll try and post to tinyurl

Diodes don't click, they're just a one way electronic gate. Rather I think you're hearing the solenoid clicking but it's not connecting the starting cables. Follow the big red cable from the battery and it should lead you to the solenoid. The small red lead from the battery usually runs to the ignition switch. Hey, that bike wouldn't have a tip switch would it? They're pretty sophisticated. If it does it won't do anything until that is reset following a spill. But find the solenoid first and we'll try to jump it. That hanging connector probably isn't anything, they leave unused connectors hanging all the time.

From these pix, I'd say if you have the time, then just pull it all apart and redo it from the ground up. That way, you know what everything is and where it goes. And you'll get a great education in the process.

Fokes I'm so sorry I can barely see the icons on my tablet or you can call me a moron don't matter either way lol. Glad I started stripping down all the wires/bundles last night before I read this today.I've got some new parts coming in today New plug New cdi I'm sure my stator is good. Anyone have an idea where that loose red wire near battery might go? As I've said it goes to right hand bar maybe to the starter switch it's self or kill switch this guy used all kinds of different colored wires...it has two pos on the solenoid smh but they were wired right. I'll try and post a few more pictures.
Bashan.. my solenoid is in the back near fuel tank above my motor I'll take a picture of that item in question as well.

The black cap was off have no idea what this has to do with anything yet. The black cylinder thing handpicked have no idea what it is either. But that hot wire leads to the electrical start switch two lights console panel VRC voltage regulator controller? It's on the front mounted this might be my problem along with the rest of the bike haha taking a brake

That's your auto-choke, nothing to worry about there. I'm sorry, I can't make hide nor hair of all those wires in the other pix. Maybe you could explain a little further what's going on.

Ok I'll try my best bro. That cdi has wiring that falls out might need to make a 2nd ground for it any ideas? The blinker box is going to the turn signals
