3.5 gallons in 25 miles? What's wrong?! Something's GOT to be screwed up badly.

It is either leaking out when your riding or bad math

That can't be going through the engine, you'd have a giant plume of white smoke. I agree with Alley, it's got to be leaking out while you're riding. There's got to be a wet spot. OK, I'm just not going there. Rich

If it's not wet under the scooter, then I have to believe that someone is stealing the gas. I'm not sure that you could pump that much fuel into a scooter engine and have it run in any kind of usable fashion. Oops, there is one case. Brake lockup. Put the scoot on the center stand. Spin the back wheel, lift the front, spin the front wheel. There should be some resistance on the back but I think you will notice if its unusual. A little resistance on the front is to be expected, but not much.. hope it helps.

It's an aggravating piece of (*%!^&*@*(^*!! is what it is. Figured out the fuel leak. Broken fuel line that only leaks under pressure.
Now... The coil tested out of spec so I wonder if I should replace it. But first... Where does the vacuum come from that drives the main needle on the carb? We had it cranking and gas was getting to the carb, but none was getting to the engine. Cleaned every flippin orifice on the carb, every tunnel or anything. Removed all the jets and everything and blasted every little bit of it with carb cleaner. No blockages.
Got it cranking and it's creating suction at the air intake, but nothing comes out to the engine. So what's up? What am I missing?

It's the air rushing through the carb that makes the vacuum inside the slide. The faster it rushes the more vacuum is created and the higher the slide lifts:
If gas is getting to the carb but not past the carb it is usually the float valve.

Just watched a video that showed some float and needle issues and how to correct them. I should also get some metal cleaner and chuck a Q-tip into my drill and polish the holes the jets mount in.

Did you check the plunger out? Make sure the spring is working?
