I have this unit coming in next week (will be getting a new trike soon too) with full assembly and PDI services already done from Mega Motor Madness, and I've been purchasing performance parts like the intake system and exhaust. I'm looking at Dr Pulley complete CVT performance kits too, but I don't know if I have the short case or long case. Some say because my wheel's are 12" that I have the long case, but Mega Motor Madness says I have the short case. Can anyone tell me? Check pics here on their website!

It has the long case, just looked at the CVT cover and it has 10 bolts holding the case. It is very clear there are 6 bolts between the Variator and the Clutch. A short case has only 4 bolts between the Variator and the Clutch. Alleyoop

Alleyoop you've helped me again!!! Thank you so much my friend! You helped me in another thread discussing the Ice Bear Q6 50cc trike. I decided to wait and get a 150cc trike as I'm almost 200LBS and that 50cc isn't going to do anything for me, lol!

The Dr Pulley kits I see don't include the roller weights or the belt. I know I need a gates or a kevlar-made belt, but what about the roller weights? What do I need exactly? Other than the roller weights and the belt the kit pretty much includes everything else since it's called a "complete" kit I'd assume.

Most of the KITS as they are called do not include a belt but they do usually include weights and when you order you specify the gram weights you want. Alleyoop
Put up a link to the kit.

That's about what they call a full kit, the Variator, Boss and Fan. Most do not come with a new fan and or boss just the Variator with weights. But none I have ever seen come with a belt. Alleyoop
You could just buy the Variator with weights and see how you like it, you can use the same fan which is 115mm standard and the boss are all the same length so you can also use the same boss. So for 30 or so bucks you can get a Koso which includes weights. I run with a KOSO Variator on my Trike and like it better than the $100.00 Prodigy Performance Variator that I originally bought.

I see different Koso kits on eBay between $20 and $30 but all have different roller weight sizes, which one should I get?

Fixing to order, thanks Alley, what about when I get my 150cc trike in a couple months, would I use this exact kit, 12's and all?

You got it BRO, the 150 trikes usually come with light rollers and the rpms run over 8000 mine did anyway. Mine came with 10 gram rollers, and to get to fifty it was cranking 8200 rpms the motor was screaming(HAHA).
I think you will like the KOSO it has good low end and good top end. But with a Trike REAR wheel wheels you can always get more just by putting on Taller Tires SAME RIMS just taller tires BIG DIFFERENCE, more top end at lower rpms.

So for these things, 2 wheel and 3 wheel, lower is better? If your trike came with 10s did you even use the 12s from this kit then? Or did you just change the variator?

Don't forget they come stock with a 107mm variator so you can only get so much 50 maybe 52mph top end with the OEM variator. So that is when I got the prodigy 115mm Variator and tried 13s, 12.5, 12s, 11.5 11s even trid 10.5 weights. And I found the 150s like 11-12 weights at least on mine. 13s my rpms would only get to around 6800-6900, and the 12s got me in the low 7k rpms range. The 11s got me around 7800 and 10s 8000+. But don't forget the 150s make their max horsepower around 7500 rpms. Alleyoop

Understood! Now what about a Gates belt? Which size do I need for the 150cc long case?
