I don't know if it's always like this or it's just for the moment but here's a money saving idea.
I just bought three tires from Amazon and they came from the Motorcycle Superstore with no shipping charge. I just checked for another tire and on Amazon the Superstore charges no shipping. On their website they do charge shipping for the same tire unless you buy over a certain amount, then it's free. I probably saved around $20 buying from Amazon instead of directly from the Superstore site.

Amazon is always free shipping IF you spend over 25 bucks. There is an exception to this though if the item is not from their warehouse all bets are off on free shipping. The shipping then depends on the store the product is gotten from. Alleyoop

Let's not forget about their free shipping gimmicks also and before you all are sold out on Card hacking Amazon lets think about scooter tires, lost money on Ebay huh Cyborg? Shop people shop. One day Ebay isn't good other days you find a bargain just like at the grocery store, T-bones on sale this week pork roast the next, so let's compare today's prices at this exact moment on the tire I use:
Good old reliable Bike Bandit who will get your tire to you in most cases in 3 days:
www.bikebandit.com/tires-tubes/motorcycle-tires/avon-am63-viper-stryke-scooter-tire
If you're wondering it all depends on where you live on their shipping? Todays price for a 130/60/13 Avon stryker tire I use = $42.95 + $11 shipping = $53
Amazon
www.amazon.com/Avon-Viper-Stryke-Scooter-Motorcycle/dp/B0058LQDXO
$62 and $25 shipping, my, my, my.
Ebay
www.ebay.com/itm/like/161384199044
$62 and free shipping
Another Ebay
www.ebay.com/itm/130-60-13-Avon-AM63-Viper-Stryke-Scooter-Front-Rear-Tire-/331280648579?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4d21dd8983&vxp=mtr
$48.88 and $5 shipping.
Don't for one minute be fooled by a one day price or availability of a tire from Amazon just like ones from Ebay, let you in on a little secret, bought the last Avons for Bike Bandit right before Christmas which they not only gave free shipping during the holidays I bought two of them for $35 a piece on sale.
Shop, and shop some more and you'll find in most cases if you're patient you'll get a better deal from Motorcycle Super Store and Bike Bandit. But you may also find a deal on Ebay when someone buys something they all of a sudden don't want or need and will sell it cheap to recover some of their money.
Myself I wouldn't take anything from Amazon if it was free.

Well, the threshold for free shipping with amazon is now $35 if the item qualifies for standard free shipping. Of course if you shop with Amazon enough Amazon Prime may be a bargain. I always shop Amazon if I am looking at items on eBay and also look at buying direct from vendors and use which ever one I can get the best deal from. I recently purchased a precharged pneumatic air rifle. The air rifle came from an online dealer, the pump and rings off Amazon, desiccant and pellets off eBay and scope from another online dealer. I saved as much as $70 off of what I would have spent if I had used a single source.

I have seldom found amazon the cheapest but still look there. I found 2 inch risers there $20 cheaper than any bike store on line.
As far as card hacking I have had cards hacked and just replaced for "no reason" many times and never ever cost me a penny. A couple years ago now I checked into a motel in eureka springs on a sat night and with in hours I found out from the credit card company there was a large purchase in a flower shop out west. They would not give me any particulars but I was fedxed a new card the next day, they called on following monday and by tue afternoon I had a new card in my pocket.
I don't give a damn where you use a card it is subject to being hacked, The difference is that you have a credit card company that wants your business and your card is replaced at no charge promptly. My card was used at a national motel chain too when that happened. US law says the worst that can happen is you be charged $50 and I have never heard of any one that paid that. Card companies want your business unlike a local bank, when your debit card is hacked and your bank account is empty why does the bank need your business? you have no money left in your account! And if they do replace your money it might take 6 months!

Don't disagree and have had my card/s hacked that had nothing to do with Amazon but when a company like this sends me another person's items that I haven't the faintest knowledge about, their mailing address, billing credit card info, and then tells me that this person has the same name and email and that's the way they identify people by then I draw a line in the sand. Then after contacting the person who the items belonged to my card gets hacked and used in Mexico and the source is traced to Amazon then I'll be damn if I use them.
Do remember this John when any thing such as a card, bank account or even your ID is fraudulently used you have a right to not only have things corrected but a right to the information of who, what and when by law which I did exercise that right fully. Just another reason I don't use google and chrome.

Ha ha! That's the same cheap tires I took off my 250B and 250A when I bought them, they'll beat your brains out!
Glad to hear it. Maybe they'll last then. I'm so sick and tired of replacing tires every year. My KZ1000, twenty years ago, went 14,000 on the rear and 35,000 on the front. Now the bikes are lucky to get 6,000 out of the back and 10,000 out of the front. I DON'T NEED RACE TRACK TIRES!!!!! Plus these are scooters, for craps sake! They don't turn worth a damn or accelerate one-tenth as hard as a bike. Give me tires made out of concrete, bring it on. Even the front tire is going bald on the Fashion. At 9,300 miles?? There's zero weight up there, it should last 20,000. I spent $70 for the Bridgestone on the back now because all the Helix owners said they get 7 to 10,000 miles out of them. Effing Liars. I got around 5,000 now and I'll be lucky to get another 1,000. If I'm going to have to do tires every year I only want to pay thirty bucks. If I needed 13" tires Jack I'd buy them. Gladly. I don't. I'll buy from Amazon any day as long as the tires ultimately come from Bike Bandit or the Superstore. I avoid Ebay like the plague. It reminds me of a Caribbean Bazaar with pirates selling plundered booty.

Well to each his own. If you make a all day run say of 400 miles plus when you get there you'll ask yourself why did I ride on this paint shaker with these cheap tires when I could have had some comfort with a quality tire? The extra $20 for comfort means a lot to me and I can even at my slow age change both tires on my 250's in less than 2 hours, tire irons and air impact make things easier and faster and I always change mine during the cold I don't ride hardly at all season.
That's another reason I buy Avons generally find a sale on them during certain times, I get 5k out of rear and have only replaced front tire once. Now Pirellis, never again, high price and got 3k on mama's scooter on the rear and as soon as the front wears out, Avons it is.
And I'm not the greatest fan of Ebay just at this point with Pay Pal never had a problem, should I have one they will go on the same never use them again list as Amazon for me. Being on the phone with a Amazon supervisor telling me that the Jack Ryan in Texas was me and had my same email address was enough to convince me they hire stupid people and I don't need to do business with them and after receiving a thank you from the other Jack Ryan for not taking him to the bank with all his personal info Amazon supplied me with was a nice thing too. I advised him to sue the crap out of them and assured him he could count on my testimony.

10" tire to go 50MPH turns how many revolutions compared to the 15" tire on you wife's motorcycle? That's a no brainer KZ. You'll not buy any tire brand in a 10" tire that will last long and you'll not notice a lot of difference on the ride I'll agree but I'll promise you on the rough roads I ride which are state highways you'll not run the Kenda's even the 100 miles I did in a larger tire size, they will beat your brains out even with the air pressure lowered, not the Avons and while the Pirellis wear out quickly they at least ride a lot better. Has nothing to do with cornering and such, it's simple ride comfort and it is extremely noticeable with size 13" tires or bigger. Since your wife rides the Rebel spend the extra bucks, she's worth it! JR
