To find air or vacuum leaks .....run at around idle...mist water...ether...carb Cleaner or what ever all over arb manifold area. You are looking only for a speed change up or down..don't matter .....speed change is a leak

Just the one I was looking for, and for a long long time. Too late now though. A real motorcycle. Non of that transformer look... why the hell didn't the keep making it, I definatly would have have one a few years back. I would post a pic but am on tablet and not that smart. I have an expensive Samsung 10" 3 years old and it is a piece of crap and now the battery is taking a crap.

You will kill your engine. A gy6 is a fan cooled engine and needs every bit of air that little fan can make.

And a straight up 90 degree engine should last longer being better balanced. The weight of the yami clone piston sliding along the flat cyl surface is the killer.

I would do a little math when switching bulbs. Take the total oem watts or curent draw and stay under it and you will find the leds are much brighter for the same curent draw. Less curent leaves higher working voltage.

It all depends on the state. I know that there are a few 50cc and 150cc that are almost identical. In their cases I know of some who carefully remove the 150 leters and replace with 50cc decals or raised letters which are readily available. As long as you keep speeds in the 50 range and the law is lenient you might be ok. BUT DON'T BLAME ME IF........

I think I would be looking for an led you could replace it with of the same wattage as the original. Using that machine at night is a real ify thing. Going above the wattage can lead to problems, adding leds to tail could free up amps. The low watts of original does not give much light to start with. A led is much brighter for same watts.

You did good. Spending a lot of money on some thing old is nuts unless you have a cherry and expect a good return on completing a restoration. In the case of cars people restore and pay to restore and then find they could have bought one just as nice for a lot less.

The larger jap. scooters are way over priced and when they list touring they make an oxymoron out of touring. and if you are over 6 ft you are squashed riding them. Their shocks are poor compared to a motorcycle in the same price range. A scooter is best around town. A grocery getter. You can also tour on a 50cc if thats your thing but I think comfort.
