it is not hard to adjust valves, there are lots of instructions here and if you keep having some one else work on it you will soon have paid as much as you did for the scooter in labor. This forum was started so you could work on your own scooter.

For what it is worth I found on 150 long case a slightly longer belt gave higher highs and lower lows.

Not the best design on some of the scooters. Could be improved on if you are a welder.

Harsh Ride

There is little you can do with a scooter when you complain of the ride. Small scooters seem to ride better.
The big problem is the motor/transmission/back wheel is one piece. When you run over a cigarnett butt all of that has to react and go upwards verses a bike with just a light weight wheel. The shock to your arse is much greater on a scooter. Then the shock travel is only a few inches long where the motor cycle has much longer travel.
I have bad back trouble and I had to quit scooters and went to a 250cc dirt bike, light weight with fully adjustable shocks front and rear set to soft with around 10 inches of travel. Night and day difference.

I am sure you could swap sprockets to allow for a larger wheel.

While you have the plastic off in a pile do check the Valves, that will save you a tear down in the very near future. There are instructions here in the library and also some good videos of both.

Sounds like the switch is bad , just buy a new one. Left brake should also start bike.

Sounds way better than a trike kit with four wheels.

Don't know which you ordered but the OEM type seems to be pretty good but the "racing" and "performance" ones are a real crap shoot.

There is only one cam timing. Both marks even across the top of the head. Besides marks one could use a straw in the spark plug hole to determine top dead center. If you are having trouble with TDC is it possible that you have a sheared key? Or a partly sheared one?

You have pretty well diagnosed the problem yourself danny. You had to turn wheel exactly so it used to catch. I doubt seriously if you have solenoid or other parts causing your problem.
What you have is wire breakdown around the steering stem location. Pull off all the plastic crap in that area and around the headlight, look for where the wire is stressed. Will probably have to separate it taking off the tape. We have generic diagrams in the library and you will probably need a multi-meter and know how to use it.

The whole idea of having a Chinese bike or scooter is they are simple enough to work on that you don't hire any one else to do the work. They do take more fiddling around than a jap bike but you can do it yourself. My advice for someone that wants someone else to keep it running is to sell it and buy a big bucks jap machine.
We have all the help one needs to maintain your Chinese machine, we have a library with generic diagrams. Read up on your machine, a good read is the uncomplete "richs scooter manual". If you still do not Want to turn some wrench save up for that jap ride. I agree, some one is taking you to the cleaners.

Might be good to go next size bigger for the pilot jet. Got to remember the maker/importer had to pass pollution so they keep every thing lean lean lean.
