Sounds like a fuse blew, check the THIN RED WIRE coming off the battery, and you will usually find a white plastic container containing a tube type fuse. Check both sides of the fuse don't just look at it. Many times the thin wire is broken on the ends which you cannot see. I would just replace it they are usually 10amp tube fuses. That wire goes to the Ignition switch so the ignition should have 12volts live all the time from the battery. Alleyoop

If the fuse is good, then you need to look at the ignition itself. They can go bad. I had to replace mine.

There's several 50cc manuals in our Manuals section in the Library.

Keep this in mine ALL the trikes are made from a TWO wheel scooter all they do is take the rear wheel off and modify the frame to hook up the Trike Swing arm on each side of the frame. So all the electrics are the same as any other two wheel scooter. The problem is you do not know which two wheel scooter they used, but you can usually tell by the skins on them and get a good idea of which two wheel scooter they used. Alleyoop

At the Ignition, when you turn the key on it makes contact with a BLACK wire that feeds everything else 12v. So if you have 12volt at the ignition from the fused wire from the battery, turn the key on and check the black wire for 12v if 12v then problem follow the black wire, it will plug into a plug that feeds everything else. If black wire has no 12v coming off the ignition then its the ignition. Just a matter of following the flow.
