I learned the hard way that you could overload a component with that piston. The original crank had a bushing in the small end of the rod. In my infinite wisdom I put a high compression Wiseco together with a radial finned high compression head and up-jetted. In no time the small end popped open from the stress, scraping the engine. I sold the remains to a buddy of mine who got a new crank with a new style rod. Don't you know that one had a needle bearing in the small end to stand up the revs and load.
