Got tired of hijacking others threads for this.
It's not a scooter, but it does have 2 wheels.

I rode it yesterday.  The carbs are so gummed up that the only way it would run is with full choke.  I took it around the loop (about 2 miles) a couple of times.  It shifted hard, but otherwise it ran totally smooth.  Amazing how dirty it is and it still ran that well.

Now the strange part is the guy is almost trying to give it to me free. LOL  He's offered me a payment plan! For $200?!  He REALLY wants it gone.  Why?  Ah HA!  I found out the wife doesn't like bikes at all.  Not even the pedal kind.  So, as you married folks know, If Momma ain't happy, NOBODYS happy.

New oil will probably help alot with the shifting as the engine oil is shared with the gearbox,, a good carb and fuel tank cleaning is in order and retorque head then you got a runner,,, nice,,, can't beat the price

And the buggah is F A S T. Even as restricted as it is, it still tried to lift up and wheelie down the road on the choke! LOL

It's cool Andy, post some pix in "Pics and Vids" if you want. I think that's great. Run some Seafoam through it and see what it does. It might straighten right out. Keep us posted and change your avatar, it haunts me. Rich

I don't want to beat this whole " one of the best bikes ever made" thing,,, but it is,, they made and sold a boatload of those bikes ,, and the 750 is the best all around big bore you can have too,, faster than sh!t,, good for twoup,, still nimble,, good power down low with a nice 100++ mph top end,, decent gas mileage and insurance is lower,,, tires and parts are easily gotten cheap ,, very reliable,, I could go on,,, a full balanced and buleprinted rebuild on that engine is just a tick over $1000,,, you got a great score,, and a real nice base for a build

You can go on and on about it as far as I'm concerned. The guy called me up again and cut the price in half. How can I refuse?

I also downloaded the official Honda service manual for it today.

So you got the thing for $100???,,even with all dmv fees and put a grand in it,,,it's still a great deal,,,considering the 2015 model is north of $10,000 ,,,Hell kawi wants $8000+ for a 250 klx,,,that night hawk is a set of pipes a rejet and airbox mod and filter away from a stonking good bike,,,i'd have one in a second,,,they respond great to very minor mods,,and you don't even have to think about cams and all the crazy stuff from the past,,,they make good power all by themselves,,,

I hope to hell you have got it home, be a real shame if some one else jumped on it even for double the money it is still a great deal. In the past every time I have found a good deal and did not move as fast as I could it was gone. I was watching a naked wing on craigs a month ago and waiting for the guy to drop the price.....its gone.
