So I'm ridin' the trike the other day and I kept gettin' a wiggle in the front end if I let off the gas quick. So I checked for "wag" from the rear wheel when I got home and sure enough lots of it. Figured it was just gonne be some loose motor mount nuts again but nooooo. The flippin' motor mount broke apart! What a piece of crap! Has anyone else had something like this happen? Here's a pic of the quality POS--

Too bad it's not cast iron. It would last 100 years.

Yeah, it's steel... if you want to call it that. The thing is two years old so even if it was still under warranty what are they gonna do, give me another POS motor mount? If you've seen my other posts you'll know that I already replaced all the bushings in this thing with urethane. Guess I'll have to reengineer this whole thing now. Sucks...

Sorry to hear it,,, but on the bright side it's not a complicated part and will be easy and inexpensive to duplicate in real steel,,,, I've seen parts fail like this before and I think they are using iron and not steel,,,

About 8 years ago, I decided a good winter project would be to re bush the suspension on my 66 Pontiac LeMans. I ordered all urethane bushings from Summit, or Jegs (can't remember which) and set about replacing every bushing on both the front and rear of the car. What a mistake....my Pontiac went from a nice riding car, to one that you feel every little crack, or bump in the road. Those urethane bushings absorb little to no road shock, just send it all through the car. The old school, rubber bushings, might not last as long, or be as good in a racing environment, but they sure absorb more shock, and vibration. Just my experience.

It's my last motorcycle. I had to sell it in 2010 to pay med bills. A very powerful but ill handling bike with it's weak frame and fork, single front disc brake and drum rear. 1998 Honda VF750C Magna.

Those where taken after I repaired it in a accident that nearly cost me my left leg when I got a tank slapper at 55mph, slammed into a guard rail and down into a river bed. At the start of that fateful trip.
