When I turn on the key, the gas level moves, so far so good, I turn the switch to on hold the brake push start and ERRHH, NOTHING. It makes a sound like something is stopping it (make SENCE?) I have reg issues so I go thru my check list of solutions, gas ok, antifreeze good, the red #10 fuse ok, the fuse next to battery ok... Just put on a new battery like 2wks ago. I got a jump and that worked. But as I looked around to see if anything is loose, off etc I noticed this black thing loose, I thought it was spark plug but no, picture below... Is it suppose to wiggle or no? I used my Haynes tech book to look at stuff and trouble shoot it, but since I don't know what is what or what it does, it makes it hard for me to understand it. photobucket.com/albums/dd215/skelton777/scoot stuff

Oh, could that be the issues, I think it's the choke

As far as linking a picture from Photo Bucket, do not use this forums link function. Using a line separated from your text and do a direct copy of the link from Photo Bucket. That's the only thing that works for me and Tiny Pics must be kept active or it drops your account.

The issue stated, you say it starts when jumped. That would indicate a bad battery. Even a seriously discharged battery will activate the gas gauge and dash lights. Even new batteries can be bad. Make sure a new one if fully charge before installing in the scooter.

From how you describe what is happening is THE BATTERY IS TO WEAK to turn the starter. So if you have a car or a friend has a car truck jump your battery BUT DO NOT HAVE the CAR RUNNING. Another way to verify that the battery is weak is JUMP the SOLENOID with a screwdriver JUST TOUCH BOTH TERMINALS on the SOLENOID and see if it spins the starter.

Ty, I can't post pic from cell, I'll try once I'm home... Hubby changed battery, again, and said something about the solenoid, Uuhhgg it's always something what sucks is we work op hrs so communication is hard
