If that hub motor is anything like the one on my electric bicycle, E-moto Ridge 450, it is very expensive to replace and is prone to failure within three years. Mine died this spring at three years of age. I would prefer a separate motor and that would require a lot of fabrication. The entire swing arm/final drive would need replacement.

He never emailed me back. Be nice to get a few more details but with no contact I don't see how to find out more.
Not sure if the one I found is the actual one. 3 years is kinda short for an electric motor.
