So, without boring you all with details, an individual has sabotaged my daughters machine. Basically, he reached in and ripped out all the fuel lines, the vacuum lines, much of the wiring and few parts. I replaced the vacuum and fuel lines to the best of my ability by looking at pictures here and on Google. I purchased a starter solenoid, too, since that was one of the parts that was ripped out. Here's my issue: I am not sure if there is anything else missing. There is no wiring that matches the ones coming off the solenoid, and there are two other sets of wires that don't seem to match up to anything else. I am thinking there is another part missing. Or two, maybe. I'm trying to get hold of someone local that has a scooter so I can do a visual comparison, but if anyone here can help, it would be appreciated. Here are some pictures:

The yellow red wire is either from the solenoid or the starter button depending on which side of the connector you're on. The green yellow is from your brake light circuit or solenoid depending......Pull in the brake, hit the start button, and it pulls 12v DC through the small wires on the solenoid and closes the circuit for the big wires. A connector off of the solenoid will hook onto a connector the matches up wire colors.

Number 1. Did you call the cops? Make a report. That kind of thing is totally unacceptable. Especially if you know who did it.
Number 2. If you DO know who did it, Go visit them with a friend and a baseball bat. Then nevermind the Cops.

Easy there G Man with the ballbat talk! Have you been talking to Cyborg? Peachtree, if you can give me a little idea where those other wires come from I can probably ID them. If that one is white black it's probably a killwire. The yellow I would guess is from the stator or R/R and supplies the headlights. But I'm guessing, just showing the connector usually doesn't help a lot in IDing the wires. The colors are often inconsistant.

looks like it may have been attempted thieft . The green and black/white wire is part of the side stand ckt . You will have ot test some of the other wires to localize them . One might be for the starter solinoid .

Good call John, I missed that. Yep, the B/W and G connector is to or from the side stand kill function. When the stand is down it grounds out the CDI and kills the engine. Don't hook that up and see if it starts. If it does then just don't hook it up, they're a PITA.

Well, all of your comments were very helpful. I'll see if I can make a short video for better perspective. Of the three cables, none of the colors match, which is why I was thinking there is something else missing.
For the record, yes, I know who did it. No, the cops were not called - my daughters choice - as it is someone well known to her. Yes, if it had been 20 years ago, they wouldn't have found the body, and not just for the damage done to the bike, but for a lot of other crap.
However, I'm a grandfather with Diabetes and Parkinson's Disease, which means I am better at shaking a finger at someone than wielding a baseball bat.
More to come...

For $20 and a six pack he'll make it look like an accident.
