For some reason, the stock carb always seems to make the bike run best, its just annoying not being able to adjust it.. What method did you use to remove the cap?

Drill a small hole in the sheetmetal plug screw a decent longer screw in the hole put a pair of pliers on the screw and tap the pliers with a small hammer ,,, the plug with come right out

Drill a 1/16 hole in the center and only go 1/8 deep then get a wood screw which are pointed and screw it into the hole and pull the plug out.
