good morning! I've pulled the trigger and ordered a roketa 250cc 54b through my dealer... this is my 3rd scoot.. fingers crossed that its a decent working scoot. I've noticed this much.. the engines used seem to be good.. the fit and fitness quality has improved markedly in past 6 years... the electrical is still a weak point... I'm reading up on how to avoid some of the electrical problems.. i may order spare parts... regulator.. cdi.. solenoid.. get a voltage meter... I'm very impressed with the design.. seems like rocket .. et al... have stuck with the 2008 reflex knockoff design.. and hopefully they have improved the quality over 6 years.. more later.. scoot due january 6 or so

i have bought a scooter from this dealer once before.. i do have confidence in him that he will check it out well.. but i will still take it for a check ride.. I'm learning a LOT from this site.. it should make things go easier.. I'm inclined to go to a scooter graveyard and get some reflex parts ahead of time.. i like the reflex amber turn signal covers

If you plan on a long term keep,,, (since you ordered new I'll assume it's a long term ride),, then I would start a collection of parts,, I feel it is wise,,, that lets you have the time and leasure of not "needing" the parts in a hurry,,,, tires,,brake pads and shoes,,,ect ( all the consumables) ,,,

Don't have first hand experience with it but the rumor mill has what you said ,,,parasitic load causing low battery starting problems and also if it goes bad a no start situation,,,i personally can't stand that stuff,,,,and remove all the nanny stuff as soon as possible,,,kickstand and clutch switches,,i like to tell my machines what to do instead of it being the other way around

my first scoot was a tank 150... a nightmare.. i had 2 batteries i rotated every other day.. it was that bad but i still managed 7000miles on it... 2nd scoot was a pegasus 150.. big tires... ran like a champ.. then started died overnight.. got it fixed.. then i changed the oil and forgot to tighten it up good... and the darin plug loosened and .. one burned out engine.. ugh... still 8000 problem free miles.. i can't complain... this time i am amped up.. 250cc with a swift looking design.. the reflex design is sweet... now if i can find a linhai 250cc manual...
