I wouldn't go much smaller. You have it going right. A little too much fuel is good. Too little fuel is bad. When you are running lean(too little fuel), the temperatures start going up and up. Heat is bad. Keep it with as big of a main jet as it will take, without losing performance.

Well if it is a stock motor 157QMJ no BIG BORE KIT on it your problem is to much fuel the carb is to big and feeding it to much fuel and that makes it loose a lot of power.
What size MAIN JET is in the 30mm carb. The 150s come with a 24mm carb and with a performance exhaust and air filter all you need is to put in a 110 to a 115 main jet and that is all.

Hey Alleyoop,
 As cheap as these carbs are to buy I think I am going to order a 26mm like you said and get a 110 and a 115 main jets.I do have that 30mm on it now and it runs all right just so so boggy? I do have the #12 doc sliders in it also.Thanks everyone!Have a great 4th of July America!

Good luck Bro, I think it will run much better with the 26mm the 30-32s on a 150 are hard to dial in because of the size of the venturi and sucking in a lot of air which then throws the fuel to air mixture way off. So then as folks add more fuel to match the air then that that causes the 150s to get over fueled and not run so good, in reality the motor is not making the power it should. Some will disagree with me that have slapped on a bigger carb and got them to run but if you listen to those motors and have an ear for motors the motors are sluggish not crispy as they should be actually down on power.
