Just for your information and others that may not know, 250cc scooters come with a 30mm carb. And yours is only a 150cc so your 100ccs less. So right off the bat you main problem is your carb, that 150 is overcarbed. Well if it is a stock motor 157QMJ no BIG BORE KIT on it your problem is to much fuel the carb is to big and feeding it to much fuel and that makes it loose a lot of power. What size MAIN JET is in the 30mm carb. The 150s come with a 24mm carb and with a performance exhaust and air filter all you need is to put in a 110 to a 115 main jet and that is all. Alleyoop Hey Alleyoop, As cheap as these carbs are to buy I think I am going to order a 26mm like you said and get a 110 and a 115 main jets.I do have that 30mm on it now and it runs all right just so so boggy? I do have the #12 doc sliders in it also. Thanks everyone!Have a great 4th of July America!

Hey All, Took my 2009 Jonway LB150T-12 QMJ Scooter out and had it wide open on the back blacktop and speedo showed 80 MPH?I know that can't be right a Fed-ex truck passed me.Are these speedo's really far off?How much? And Did these scooters come with rear foot pegs? I see 2 small holes on each side of the foot board but that doesn't seem like it would be strong enough? , on Flickr Dont have a pic of my speedo right now THE SPEEDOMETER fixed itself and was never broken to begin with?My stupidity!I did not look close enough at the speedo to see that the MAIN larger BOLD numbers on it are in Kilometers and the smaller numbers underneath the others is the MPH numbers.

Those little wires don't attach to a post on the solenoid. Those go to a relay that is built into the soleniod. The green/yellow one is from the switch on your brake handle. The other one is from the switch.I knew those wires didnt go to the posts.Actually the wires to the male plug were opposite to the other wires on the scooters female plug. The maker of the solenoid had them backwards but I switched them around and the bike is running again great! Thanks for your help guys!

What color is the wire that goes to the post where the big thick wire from the battery hooks to? Green/Yellow or the Red/Yellow one? Can someone take a quick look at theirs to see what wire is going to the battery.Thank you

Hey Guys, My scooter hasnt been starting lately.I thought it was the battery,That is only a few months old because the starter solenoid would just click when I tried to start it but the battery is fully charged.I tested the starter and that kicks right off fine jumping it.I also used my multimeter to see if I was getting the 12 volts on the other side of the solenoid when I turned it over and I was not so my guess was the solenoid is bad?? Does that sound right to you guys? I ordered one anyway from Amazon for a whole $6.80 to try it.Ok now to the wiring part on the subject line.I looked at 2 different wiring diagrams that are posted in the Great Help threads at the solenoid to see where the Green/Red wire goes on what post and where the Yellow/Red wire go on what post of the solenoid? The one diagram that you can see everything close and all the colors shows Green/Yellow wire goes to the positive side and the Yellow/Red wire goes to the starter. My eyes are not the best but it looked like those colors are switched around on the really small need a magnifying glass diagram? It shows the Green shade with Yellow dashes? What is the correct color combination to hook up?Sorry so long thanks for your help!!

Hey Guys, That carb in Amazons picture isn't the carb I got.The one I received looks just like the one that came off of it with the mixture screw on the upper side opposite the idle screw side and I did put the 105 jet in and that made a world of difference and seems to run like it should kind of quick starting out from a stop? And also made sure the fuel line was running downward to the carb Took it back and forth 5-6 times a mile out and back on our back flat blacktop(Say that 3 times fast ha)and stopped each time and adjusted until it ran the best.I do have Dr.Pulley 12 sliders in it now I can feel them catch. It is kind of windy out and the speedo is off for sure because it showed I was going 105mph going south and 90mph going north (13"Wheels).My GPS is so dark I can see the speed I will have to change screens on it.It runs out pretty decent now not sure if it would be worth just trying out the 102 Jet? I am 250lbs so it won't be doing any fire burnouts soon.I would like to find some kind of bracket/Bar to bolt up behind the seat so the scooter can be moved around a little easier(since I took the rear carrier off?) Thanks guys!! For all your brain power on scooters!

I just looked at that carb and in the main picture the carb has a Excelerator Pump but the rest of the pictures of the carb DOES NOT HAVE A excelerator pump. Also the Fuel Ratio Screw is UNDERNEATH the intake and not on the side, So that is a 30 or 32mm carb. Have you adjusted the Ruel Ratio mixture on that carb? If not try to adjust it with the way it sits.If it does not want to adjust right following the procedure then try going DOWN on the main jet. See what Main jet came with it and if smaller try the smaller jet. Follow this procedure to try and adjust the fuel mixture. Alleyoop scooterdoc.proboards.com/thread/1499/4ts-carb-tuning The stock jet that was in this new carb that I took out to put in the 115 looks like a # on the side of it says 102?? The stock carb that I removed has a 105 H on it.Should I put the 105 in this new carb I got or the 102? that came with the new carb?I have been using that side screw to adjust the fuel ratio? Is that what one I should be adjusting? What is the adjusting screw down at the bottom by the float bowl? The old stock carb has that screw and wont know if this new carb has one also?.Thanks for your help.

Well I checked the speedo out today with my gps and when I am going 40 on the gps the speedo is reading 60? And with a new carb 30mm I think he said? with the upgraded #main jet, New super high power air cleaner ha ha and a complete performance exhaust,The orange coil W/orange SP boot new,New Gold CDI Casoli Moto and the 12oz Dr.Slider weights, new face complete and a kevlar belt and that's close to it all and I adjusted the air/fuel from where it was from whoever sold it to me maybe thats a problem but I have ridden like the old 50cc Yamaha scooters from the 80s and this thing has no zip? For a 150? I get out on the blacktop open it wide open maybe going 45-50 tops and keep it that way for 3/4 mile and it quits running so I let off on the throttle and it starts running again like it is running out of fuel? I put one of those 3 way petcock with fuel hose with the vac.hose a and a small petcock and fuel filter inline also and that fuel on/off petcock doesn't seem like it would get much gas look like much fuel could run through that? Any helpful hints for me to try would be great!!

Hello again Guys, I ended up ordering a small roll(1'x5') of the Purple Chrome to first see how that stuff worked out? I tried the rear luggage bar and that was a mess?Ha Ha It was like using a thicker piece of foil paper that does not stretch at all you can imagine that one(no pics took it off right away)Next I tried it on the small fins that attach to my body side panels and that didnt work out either the so called vinyl had no stretch to it at all?? I think the only thing this stuff would work on would be only on a flat surface. The link I have up above is the good vinyl I used some off brand vinyl they said was no cheap Azz stuff but I believe it is.At this point I am not sure if I will order a small amount of the real good VIVVID Vinyl and try it out? There are alot of nooks and crannies on these scooters that the stuff would have to go on and stick in place and it might end up a mess again with me doing it? Ha Ha! It might work out slick for someone that uses the wrap alot? I might just go back to good ol'e paint and decent decals from immortal graphics or somewhere? Talk to you all later!

Is there a problem with paint? I would like to try something different. It is actually a way to keep your paint in good shape safe under the vinyl wrap.I was an autobody tech for 30 years and I have done my share of painting over the years and with this there is no fumes,no over spray and good for the environment. There are small pieces you can buy on Amazon for $1 on up if a person wanted to try it themselves to see how it works and looks.I am now trying to decide what color to go with and style? (carbon fiber.brushed steel, chrome colors, matte colors.etc..I will post as I am working on it so we all can see how it works out.

Hi All, I have been checking out vinyl wraps thinking that I am going to use it to wrap all my scooters body parts and whatever else on my machine. The wrap itself is not very expensive and there are some really cool colors and graphics you can get. From what I have looked into you can wrap your entire scooter for around $50.Amazon has great deals. Here from what I have read is the better of all the brands and 1/2 the cost of 3M.Have any of you used the wrap before?
