Bashan cyborg Really got doubts it'll hit 60 as in a true 60MPH, got to remember 3 things and this NEVER changes with scooters even the so called Tiawan scooters, Speedo will be at least 10% off = 6MPH Will be set up lean Then add the third thing 125cc = the small 53.4mm piston. From the side it looks like a typical GY-6 and in this case I hope so, why? Rich runs in the hills and add rider weight, small piston, set up lean and you're looking at being at 25MPH at the top of the hill, he's been there and knows this is so. If it's standard GY-6 specs then he can jerk the small head off, change the CVT and get her up to speed. Wait a minute! Isn't that what you have to do to those cheap Chinese POS scooters?

Hmmm. Maybe getting rid of the Puma is a tad premature.

I see a how to modify a Lance video/picture posts coming for the tech section! I've got my fingers crossed but very loosely!
If the variator is typical GY-6 he already has a good selection of sliders so helping it there will be a piece of cake, my hope is they are not like the symmetrical ones that are used in a Sym. Sym does that crap so you have to buy their stuff exclusively. Hopefully they didn't do that to the Lance line, if they did then he can still help it some with lowering the weight for the hills. But he'll have to find them, Sym parts are not on every street corner, he'll testify to that.
Then a upjet may get him a couple of MPH and if it's not enough then it's BBK time, no replacement for displacement.

He just put the 6AH acid fill battery on the charger and going to take it up one of those looooooooong sloping for 1-1/2 hills in the morning so we'll know soon! First order of business is getting a "good" battery, damn cheap Tiawanese jerks!
Like I said if it won't haul butt up that big hill on 280. it'll be up for sale soon!

Hey.... in the PCH's defense. I'm 210 Lbs and the 125cc engine hauls my fat arse around at 55 with no problem.

With a speedo that isn't correct (55 = 50MPH) and on flat ground. Hills can you say hills? We'll know soon as Rich is doing the PDI now and he weighs about 170lbs.
Let's see if 125cc will pull these at 55MPH on a 90F+ day in Alabama?
I'm dang sure it will going "down" the mountain!
I ride in the same kind of hills and there are times my 250 is stretched to hold 55 mph with my 250lb arse on it.
Too many donuts!

I am just going to shelve everything until I get it running. I got the tires aired up and I'm changing the fluids. There's about a 9 mile list of stuff to do when new. I'm not doing all of it today. But I'll see if it will crank.

When I say "Tank" motor mount I mean one that was common on the Tank scooters. If you never heard of them they were successful for a few years and just disappeared. Here is the motor mount on my new bike which is the same as the Tank mount.
But this bike came with a nice accessory. I'm not sure what it's for but I can't quit looking at it:
Here's the top of the engine without the dasterdly silentbloc on top :
