An 18 pole is as good as it gets unless you go with a custom hand wound one I would think,,,looks like you have it covered,,,I'm surprised the 300 isn't awash in power with an 18 pole It should have plenty of juice. I tried to convert the head light to hid. 35w hid's consume less power than 35w halogen when heated up and light output is more than 55w halogen. problem is they pull aprox. 8amps to start bulbs. This is to much power for both lamps to start at same time. I got lazy and just put halogen bulbs back in rather than install separate switches and relays for each bulb. plus the projector housings are designed for halogen bulbs and not hid's. The will work but hid bulbs tend to cause glare in halogen projectors. H1 Hid bulbs are longer than H1 halogen bulbs. I have hid projectors, but these head light assemblies are a real pita to get apart. Probably will order stator and regulator. just to have spares. I like to have lots of spare parts. As I would rather ride than wait on shipping. Roy
