I don't see anything wrong in the pictures, since you have spark Check if it is getting gas, crank it over trying to start it and stop and take the plug put and see if it is WET OR DRY. Alleyoop

cyborg needle seemed fine when I cleaned the carb, will check again for the sake of it. Alleyoop the plug is new and only ran a week, it wasn't wet, simply black and dirty. Also I definitely smelled gas coming out the spark plug hole so I assume it is reaching even though there shouldn't be a problem then, so I thought maybe the mixture is to air"y" and it needs more gas to spark? also, this is a new motor and new piston, maybe adjustment issues?

not dangerous at all,,,just put a SMALL amount of fuel in the sparkplug hole she'll fire a few times,,then you know it's the carburetor not delivering fuel,,,done it dozens of times myself,,,probably into hundreds if i sit down and count,,,i'm sure Alleys on the hunt here,,he generally is,,,

cyborg oh ok. I'll try that, I bet it'll start, but then if it's the carb, I mean, I cleaned it and all.. I'm starting to get suspicious about the fuel tank/hoses, but then again if I disassemble the carb again and the float bowl is full it means the gas is reaching the carb no? So that only leaves the path the gas takes from the carb to the piston?

Well if you smell gas then it is getting to much gas and or the plug is not firing. Especailly if it is black and sooty.
That is why I said to crank it over and IF IT DOES NOT FIRE AT LEAST ONCE Take the pluy out and check if DRY OR WET. If it is WET and it DID NOT FIRE at least once then the plug is NOT FIRING. It if is DRY and it DID NOT FIRE then no gas is getting to the motor.
Now since it went down are you sure you TESTED FOR SPARK ON THE MOTOR NOT THE FRAME. The motor has to be grounded to the frame and the Battery Grounded to the Frame. If the Ground wire from the motor to the frame is broke or disconnected the plug will NOT FIRE WHILE IN THE MOTOR.

Alleyoop O.k., I tested the plug, I cranked it several times without the engine firing, took it out and it was black, sooty, and oily. So now that means I got to get a new plug? It was on the motor, but maybe I did it wrong or imagined the blue sparks.. anyways I'll start by replacing the plug. cyborg didn't start... I'll try with another spark plug, maybe I did the test wrong or something.

Alley is correct as usual try the plug test on the engine not the frame also, check the engine to frame ground strap,,,change the plug check it on the engine

cyborg Alleyoop I got it running! simply changed the plug and charged the battery and voila! I thought it was way more complex than that haha. Learning curve I guess, anyways thanks a million times guys! See you next problem!(Probably like tomorrow with my scooter)

next time just grab the plug by the electrode and ground it on the engine and try and start it,,,you will know immediately if the coil is working anyways,,, ,,,,,
