Mornin Boys, My enricher quit working 2 days ago. It's a new carb. It there an adjustment or a fix for them? If not, I can put the one on my old carb on the new one.

Just swap it out. They don't have any adjustable parts.

How do you know your enricher quite working? Is it plugged in? Did you test it? If not take it off and lay it on its side cover the hole with your thumb and start the motor KEEP YOU THUMB ON THE HOLE. When you first take it off COLD it should look like this RETRACTED: After idling for about 3-4 minutes it should look like this EXTENDED:

Well, I changed it out but it's still not working. So I figured it might be electrical. So I unplugged it and put a tester light on it, turned the key on and yep, it's electrical. So I was going to come in and look for a diagram for it. Then a thought jumped into my head, maybe it has to be running for juice to get to it. So I started it up and yep, I had a STRONG 12 volts. Now I'll take it back apart and try what Alley just posted.

HAHAHA, the hole that the ENRICHER CAME OFF FROM THE CARB. Covering the hole is acting like the ENRICHER for starting a COLD MOTOR. Your thumb over the hole the enricher came off will feed it extra fuel just as if the enricher was in there.
Or you can UNPLUG the enricher and connect 12volts to plug(DOES NOT MATTER WHICH WIRE IS THE GROUND OR LIVE on the ENRICHER and just lay it on its side and see if it EXTENDS OUT about 1/4 of an inch in about 3 or so minutes. EITHER way you can test it. THUMB OVER THE HOLE AND START THE MOTOR OR JUST USE 12volts on the ENRICHER.

What made you think the ENRICHER was not working? What was happening and WHEN?

It started about 3 days ago. It would not start with out giving it some gas and keep it reved up using the throttle. I would have to do that for about 1 or 2 minuets. If I shut it off for 5 minuets, I would have to go through the same thing. It would not stay running till it warmed up. The RPM's would start low and would pick up as it warmed up. We couldn't walk into a store and come back out with out sitting there with it running for the 2 minuets before we could leave. But it's back to normal and starting and running fine now.

Yep that sounds like the ENRICHER was stuck in the EXTENDED POSITION and not allowing fuel to flow when the motor was cold. Alleyoop

I just went and tried it again. It's nice. I just hit the starter and it starts, runs at 2100 and works it's way down to 1800. I'm happy. I buttoned it up and put the tools away.
