Is there a proper way to set up your mirrors, like making sure you can see a certain part of the road or a part of a car behind you, or do you just adjust them to your liking?

i always run my mirrors undershot on all my bikes,,so i'm looking under my arms,,i get a better view,,,i already know what kind of jacket i have on,,,with regularly placed mirrors i'm always looking at my shoulder,,,and also undershot mirrors are shorter so there's less movement so i get a clearer view

I like to see what's behind me and cover as much of my blind spot as possible. Hard to do with only one mirror. I'm seriously thinking about adding another set or something.

Anyone ever use those stick-on convex mirrors? Would they be of any benefit to us scooter riders?

I, too, have them on both of my rides. The convex mirrors let me see that area between the standard mirror coverage and the area diagonally back to either side where there is usually room to hide a small car.

I can imagine how that could give you a better view, but I like to move my head as little as possible away from looking straight ahead. I don't even like looking down at my speedometer but I do because I like speeding tickets even less than looking down. Still, that's a good idea. I was just curious about this whole thing because I (for the past few weeks) haven't been able to get my mirrors "just right." I also found a dollar-store convex mirror in one of the corners of my garage and thought, "what the heck, why not?"

Yeah, I move my head around a lot too. I want to know what's going on around me.

I guess I'm just paranoid about taking my eyes off of what's coming at me.
Seeing how M13 crashed has made it even worse.
