OK I expanded the original pic and got a better look see, the WIRE FITS into the black wire It has a round open insert and it just pulled out. What it looks like is the BLACK wire is a MAIN GROUND. Easy enough is just follow that black wire it probably goes to the frame or to the neg post on the battery and the battery then grounds to the frame. Alleyoop

I was hoping you guys were on to something that I was obviously looking over, but that black wire has a black/green wire plugged into it. The black wire goes to the smaller of the two square objects just behind the horn, ( what are these by the way, not that this has anything to do with my situation, I am just curious on what the identification of these items are ) Thanks.

Those are Ballast Resistors what they do is LIMIT the amount of current flowing in whatever it is feeding, usually lights. Alleyoop

It is a ground that pulled loose. I still don't know if it fits where Alleyoop says it does, even with the pic blown up. Anyways, it is a ground that has pulled loose. That means something is not grounded now. It also means that something is within the radius of that wire. Have you checked to see if both of your blinkers are grounded? If your flasher is buzzing, there is something suspicious going on.

Alleyoop steven Ok I think I am ready to take another stab at this diagnosis again. Correct me anywhere along here if I am incorrect. 1) I know the Scooter STARTS with the kick starter. ( in looking at the schematic, IGNITION SWITCH is OK, BRAKE SWITCH is OK, R/R is OK ( what is this by the way?), PLUG COIL CDI STATOR are all OK. STARTER will crank over and start scooter if I jump SOLENOID, so STARTER itself is OK. OK SCRATCH ALL THAT FROM ABOVE, or better yet, if the next person has a similar situation as above.... CHECK THE FUSE in the battery compartment. I was trying to avoid having to pull the floor board and get to the battery, was just going by voltage readings from my remote charging wire I have accessible outside the floorboard. What a dummy I feel like. I had started listing all items that I knew were not running and was going to ask for voltages at these items, then when I got down to the battery on the schematic in BOLD letters FUSE. So I went out took off the floor panel I was trying to avoid having to remove, and guess what, BLOWN FUSE. (by the way what Amp of fuse do I need to replace with ) lucky for me Strada has a replacement fuse included. Replaced fuse. Dash comes on, starter turns over with start button. Wow that fuse almost cost me $900 that I don't need to spend at this time. Had my eye on a 50cc TAOTAO Thunder. I want to thank you both very much for all your input. I have known people who just love to diagnose problems like this, me personally it is a living hell, I get too frustrated and OVER LOOK the obvious. Still don't have a home for the lone ground wire. I did disable the ALARM system on this scooter when I bought it, may have been from something on that. Thanks again, and safe Scooting. David

Check to make sure the ignition is getting 12volts from the battery. There is a red wire normally has a fuse about 6 inchs away from the battery that goes to the ignition check that. When things broke it may have blown the fuse so first thing is verify that the fuse is passing the voltage to the ignition, so test both sides of the fuse for flow. Alleyoop Bummer, that was my first post, To check the fuse. Alleyoop

Ah Ha, you did nail it from the start. Too bad your student was not slowing down long enough to pay attention. Thanks again.
