The model number on my engine is XS1P39 QMB . I bought this ( www.ebay.com/itm/161018154007?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT ) big bore kit. The cylinder that came with the kit will not fit into the case. The case hole is to small. The o.d of the lower part of the cylinder that is supposed to fit into the case is 52.95mm. The case hole is 50.25mm. Hell, even the piston skirt won't go into the hole. Has anyone else had this happen?

Yea I think that kit is really a 52mm bbk not a 50mm and in some cases the case has to be bored to fit the 52mm. It all depends on who made it, if it was a hoca 52mm I am sure it would fit what they do is trim down the jug so it fits the case.
So you will have bore out the case for it to fit no 2 ways about it. Alleyoop

That kit is 50mm. I bought the exact same one, from the same guy. You have a small aperture in your case. You are probably going to have to try the 47mm. Your engine is an anomoly engine. You may have to go 44mm.

BTW, it is probably just as well that that particular BBK does not fit.
I want to say that I hate to post this, but I will, because I read a post yesterday about the exact same problem.
I installed that kit. As you know, that is the absolute cheapest price you will find on ebay for a BBK. When you add in all the accessories, that price seems too good to be true. Here is the deal.
I installed that kit. First day, it ran great. Second day, it ran a little worse. 3rd day, it was putting. I ordered a new cylinder and piston from ScootersToGo. The cylinder cost as much as that whole kit. It ran a little better. So, I bought an expensive cylinder head, installed it, and it ran perfect. Is still running perfect 6 mos later. I examined the cylinder, and head on that cheap kit. It has little holes that go all the way through to the cylinder. The head has holes that go all the way through to the combustion chamber. These are casting holes, from cutting corners for cost. It ran fine for the first day because of the assembly lube I used, the lube sealed it temporarily.
You would have had the same problem. Nobody can sell those things that cheap. His stuff is crap.

Sorry but that is the WORST seller to get scooter parts from. They are sh*t. I've wasted a LOT of money because of that person. All the heads from him failed in less than 1 month. I've even received dirty and rusty parts.(Not at the same time) I had so many problems I was starting to doubt my knowledge. I wised up and started trying other sellers and never had a problem since. Don't buy from "02starrider" You will regret it.
Oh and yea its either bore the case or try the 47mm.
