Funny as crap, here it is almost 90 degrees, so I took the Trike out and went to visit my brother in law which lives 5 miles away. They were saying some thunderstroms around about 5:00 pm or so and this was at 1:30 in the afternoon.
Well I went there and we shot the bull for about an hour and we saw the sky was starting to get nasty looking. So I left to make it home before it started to pour. Got halfway and it was coming down in sheets(HAHA). Couldn't even see the rain was getting in my eyes had to have the shield up in order to see. So I pulled off the road and got under some trees on a bike trail and waited till it passed. But by that time I was DRENCHED LIKE A WET RAT, even my underwear was soaked(HAHA). Alleyoop

Well.... Now we know. Alley wears undies. LOL
I got caught in the rain yesterday also. It was only a passing shower, but it was coming down pretty good. I rode in it for about a mile before I broke out of it. I was mostly dry thanks to my wonderful faring.

Might just be me, but usually when it rains in the summer in the desert, I'll go stand in it for awhile. And if it's been a long while since I've ridden in the rain, I'll wait for 1/2 an hour for the oils to get washed off the roads, and just take one of the bikes around the neighborhood, just to stay familiar with the handling in the wet. I do recommend that everyone should do that at least once. The worst time to learn to ride in the rain is when you are miles and miles from home.. Of course, around here, it's usually a series of short cloudbursts, and the weather service doppler radar site has helped me dodge the heavy stuff on the way to and from work a lot.. Happy riding..
