This is what everyone uses for those scoots. I HAVE TO ASK WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE SCOOT?? YOU ASK FOR A LOT OF THINGS BUT DO NOT TELL US WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. WE CAN HELP DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM YOU ARE HAVING IF YOU WOULD TELL US. Alleyoop www.rapidrepairpowersports.com/Yamaha%20YP250.html

Gladly, you asked for it. I purchased this chinese scooter about 3 months ago and it has been nothing but trouble. The first screw up was totally my fault. I didn't realize that the battery terminals were reversed so my regulator got burned up. Finding the correct one was another issue! I just found out yesterday that it was shipped yesterday from BMS. I still have not been able to start it. It will crank but that's all. The fuel is not even getting to the gas tank. I have replaced the fuel filter and in the process of replacing all the vacuum and fuel lines. Other than that everything is just great (lol). I almost forgot, during this time my wife had a total knee replacement that I had to take care of. I'm really not upset because I like to fix things, wether I can or not is irrelevant. I hope this helps, I'm not really an idiot just like to have some fun! Life is grand. Thanks for listening, I needed that. Talk too you real soon.

BUMMER!! sorry to hear about your wifes Knee problem hope she is coming along and getting well. Now about your problem Seems you have at least a couple to deal with. Lets attack the NO FUEL problem first. Ok are you sure you have the VACUUM lines connected the right connectors? If you can take pictures of your FUEL PUMP and hoses going to the carb area that would help determine if you have things connected right. From what you say it appears that there is no fuel flowing from the gas tank to the carb. So I suspect something is connected wrong. The Fuel Pump(GAS TANK IS LOWER THAN THE CARB) or PETCOCK(GAS TANK IS HIGHER THAN THE CARB) require Vacuum to activate the Diaphgram and allow fuel to flow to the carb so if no Vacuum or connected wrong then no gas will flow to the carb. Alleyoop Check this Thread out and see if the hoses on yours are connected to the right things. scooterdoc.proboards.com/thread/842/help-file-fuel-line-identification

I disconnected the fuel line coming directly from the gas tank and it was dry. There's just nothing coming out of the gas tank even after I cranked it up?

When I dealt with BMS, they seemed to be pretty stand up guys. Have you asked them for any help you may need?

Let me ask, is there a PETCOCK connected to the tanks outlet? They look like this: If so taking the hose off and if it is dry and the vacuum hose was on and good no cracks or rips then the petcock is clogged and you need a new one. How about a picture of it. No, unless it's hidden somewhere.

The BMS 260 does not have a vacuum fuel petcock. Explain your term "cranked it up"? Does this mean it is turning over and isn't starting? The EFI 260 has an electric fuel pump, if it's not running no gas. Need to check fuses.

If the hose was disconnected right at the GAS TANK then it is not the fuel pump his tank is clogged and Now I will ask DOES YOUR GAS GAUGE actually work? Because it could be the float came off the wire and filled with gas and may be blocking the outlet or something is. So I would check the tank maybe drain the gas out of the tank and take the float out so you can see inside the tank better.
The tank on your BMS is where the tank is on my TRIKE up in front under the center part it has a door on it you open with the key and the fill cap and tank is under there. So yes you have a FUEL PUMP just like I do and to get at the fuel outlet from the tank you have to take the bottom protection panel off. The Fuel pump is probably where mine is on the Bottom rail of the frame about 1 foot or so away from the tank then the fuel hose runs along the rail and UP TO THE Carb(EFI). Alleyoop

While I'm all for getting lots of opinions you have 3 active threads on this scooter all dealing with the same issues. Let's stay here and see if the problems can be solved.

Sorry I took so long. Here is the underside showing I believe is the petcock. It has two lines one vacuum and one fuel? Sorry but I didn't know I had other thread. The gas gauge does work.

That is an electric fuel pump AND I SHOULD have known that right away EFI's Usually have Electric Fuel pumps. So with that said it DOES NOT have a vacuum line. Can you trace the TWO hoses back? The pump should start working as soon as you turn the key on. So put your hand on it and turn the key on and see if you can feel it working. If not then You would need to check the wires going to it and see if voltage is getting to the pump. That way you will know if the pump is bad or the problem is it is not getting voltage and the problem is where ever the wires originate. Alleyoop
