In the Bay Area? Get to Pacifica to see the Whales By fototaker (Read 457 times)

Though the humpbacks I've been seeing on occasion there and those whales don't stick to a pre-determined schedule, when you ARE able to see them it's so cool!! I've paid to go on whale-watching boats in Monterey and SF, and were so far away that I might as well snapped pixs of Jupiter with a cell!! These pixs were snapped on my first ever time to Pacifica to see whales about a month ago - the day is listed in the pix. Went again five days more but only saw whales close up on ONE of those return visits! Enjoy and if you get pixs, post and share please!!! It'd probably be nice to mention when you visited and time(s) BUT just because you saw them on a Monday, at about noon, they won't necessarily de seen again at that date/time again. Of all the times I went, it seemed I got the BEST pixs and even see them on a Monday

I would love to get out there to try seeing those kind of sights but think it may be to late in my life. Thank you for sharing the pictures.

We get them here for a couple of months every year. They come right up and bump your boat. I don't mind, but it's the killer whales we get that make me nervous. Those buggahs are FAST!
