My CVT belt is not broken, but I want to know what to expect when it does break. After it breaks, what are the symptoms other than the scooter no longer moving? Will the engine still run or will it refuse to run?

If the belt breaks and DOES NOT BIND and wrap around the VARIATOR then the motor will keep running. But when you do realize that the back wheel is no longer being turned by the belt SHUT OFF the motor because the Variator Weights will start flying around in there and can cause a lot of damage don't worry you will hear a lot of banging around inside the CVT cover.
