I have the typical yingyangyong chinese 50cc 2-stroke moped. Its a 2003 and has been riding good.
Obliviously jesus wasnt on my side due to the moped completely just dying after sunday morning mass.
After further research the compression was good and it was getting gas. There was no spark at all though.
Moped wont run at all.
Was curious on suggestions due to it failing while running.
Next up is the coil and cdi box correct? was wondering how to pinpoint the problem!
Thanks for any suggestions!

Have to know what motor is in there to match up the stator cdi and coil. If you can take a picture of your CDI and Coil need to see the wiring and the color of the wires.
Not to much testing you can do to the CDI and or COIL to really find out if either one is bad. Do you know what the stator looks like is it a 6 pole stator or does it have points. Alleyoop

I would start by just putting in a new spark plug. I had a similar problem on my last scooter, a YY250T. Drove me crazy, since it was intermittent, and it was a top of the line plug. Wound up replacing a rectifier and some other goodies, before realizing it was the plug.

Before buying too many parts, you might take a good look at your plug boot. Is it fitting on the plug nice and tight? Is it snug where it screws into the plug wire? The plug wire/boot connection is a common cause of no spark condition.

First thing if your not going to answer any questions is , Check and make sure the KILLSWITCH was not hit by accident. One other thing make sure the GROUND WIRE from the motor to the frame is still connected and making a good ground. Those two things will cause a NO SPARK while riding. Alleyoop
